- FC Mobile officially confirms PlayStyles feature with upcoming beta rollout.
- Limited beta test will be available in select regions later this week.
- Feature includes categories like finishing, passing, defending, and more.
After a lot of discussion, EA Sports has officially announced that PlayStyles are being added to FC Mobile. A limited beta version will be available in some countries later this week. This news follows earlier reports from January that suggested PlayStyles were coming, and it seems those reports were accurate.
PlayStyles add a new gameplay layer beyond the existing Traits system in FC Mobile
If you’re new to this, PlayStyles first appeared in EA FC games on computers and consoles. They go beyond standard player stats and characteristics, actually changing how players act during a game, and become even more effective when assigned to the right players.
Get ready for PlayStyles in #FCMobile! 🔥 You can test them out in a special Beta starting later this week, but it will only be available in select regions.

Okay, as a player, I’m seriously hyped about this new PlayStyles system! It feels like a huge update for FC Mobile – honestly, one of the biggest we’ve seen in ages. The old Traits system felt kinda static, but these PlayStyles actually change how players behave during the game, based on what’s happening. It’s going to make each player feel way more individual and, crucially, more like their real-life self on the field.
Based on what we know so far, including the early look at the feature, PlayStyles will be divided into categories that reflect different parts of the game, such as Goalkeeping, Physicality, Defending, Passing, Ball Control, and Shooting. Here are some of the PlayStyles we anticipate seeing.
| Category | PlayStyles |
|---|---|
| Finishing | Clinical Finisher, Finesse Shot Master, First Timer, Penalty Expert, Power Shot Master |
| Ball Control | Speed Dribbler, Trickster |
| Passing | Bullet Pass, Tiki Taka |
| Defending | Aerial Defence Master, Hard Tackle Master, Stand Tackle Master |
| Physical | Intimidator, Relentless Stamina, Accelerator |
| Goalkeeper | Deflector, Super Rush, Whipped Crosser |
The game offers a lot of customization. PlayStyles will have four different levels, letting you change how your team plays by adding or removing them as you see fit. You can even improve these PlayStyles by collecting duplicates.
The PlayStyles feature is currently being tested as a beta, so it might still be adjusted based on feedback before its official release. We’ll have a better understanding of how it works once the beta is live.
EA hasn’t announced specific dates or locations for the release yet, but with the beta test planned for later this week, it might start around April 20, 2026. We’ll share more information as soon as it’s available, so check back for updates.
