It’s time for another special feature in the game! As the Ragnarok: After Daybreak event continues, Electronic Arts has added a new event called Grassroot Greats to FC Mobile 25. This event focuses on renowned figures, top performers, and players who rose through the football ranks to gain international recognition.
Previously in June, we introduced Grassroot Greats serving as a link between the last Ragnarok event and the forthcoming Captains event within FC Mobile. Engage in the narratives of six Grassroot Greats and collect Shards to enlist fresh characters from the event team!
FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats Event Description

FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats Event Flow
Main
To begin with, let’s clarify that Grassroot Greats is actually a smaller scale event. Unlike other mini-events, it features a Main Tab, similar to many events from this season, which serves as a roadmap for the other chapters and the entire event. Compete against the prestigious heritage of the Grassroot Greats and reap numerous rewards.
Beyond the existing rewards, there’s also a collection of Milestone Rewards available. Completing the next two event chapters, specifically “Road to Greats” and “Greats Stories,” will grant you “Grassroot Greats Shards,” “Training Transfer Points Coins,” and “Gems.” These rewards are earned after accomplishing specific tasks within the chapters.
Road to Greats
As a passionate participant, I’m thrilled to share that the main hub of this event, known as the “Road to Greats,” is where you’ll be spending your daily time. Here, you’ll engage in two exciting Skill Games and two PvE Matches each day. By doing so, you’ll earn a fantastic assortment of rewards, including Coins, Gems, Grassroot Greats Tokens, and Pass Points for the Road to Greats section on a daily basis!
The journey begins here! Play Skill Games or Matches to collect Grassroot Greats Tokens. As you progress, you’ll also find Milestone Rewards on the right side of the screen, which are based on the number of Skill Games and Matches you complete from the Road to Greats section.
Embark on the full journey to become a ‘Great’ and reap the benefits! These perks consist of Coins, Gems, Shards of Grassroot Greats, and even the prestigious Universal Rank Player – Mascheranos! The Milestones are repeatable, allowing you to acquire each set of rewards up to three times.
Greats Stories
Moving forward, you’ll use your well-deserved Grassroot Greats Tokens within the Grassroot Greats Stories section. This is unlike previous occasions as it’s a special Reward chapter where you’ll journey through the careers of six Icons and Heroes who are associated with the Grassroot Greats event.
Unveil the inspiring tales of our Homegrown Heroes! Discover their team, finish their narratives, and collect prizes! Among these players are Marcelo, Ian Wright, Ivan Cordoba, Miroslav Klose, Jerzy Dudek, and Antonio Di Natale. Finishing Great Stories will grant you access to rewards from our Homegrown Heroes collection.
Initially, all players are locked; however, you can progressively free them each day using your Grassroot Greats Tokens. By improving your Skill Talents and accumulating Fortitude Points, you can then utilize your Grassroot Greats Tokens to unlock a variety of Great Stories and receive rewards.
As a devoted fan, I want to share that each day, only one Grassroot Greats event player is up for grabs. Once you’ve claimed your player, you’ll be diving into an exciting solo (PvE) match, showcasing the player’s iconic career moments. These matches are not just fun, but they also reward you with valuable items like Coins, Gems, and Grassroot Greats Pass Points!
Upon completing the entire Grassroot Greats event and gathering all six players, you’ll find a special Milestone Reward waiting for you. This reward presents three exciting options: either a Universal Rank Player named Mascherano, another Grassroot Greats player with an OVR between 105 and 111, or a top-tier ST Ivan Toney with an OVR of 107. To claim any of these prizes, make sure you’ve earned all the Grassroot Greats rewards first.
Gallery
In the last section of the Gallery Tab, all exclusive players from previous events have traditionally been showcased. However, this time around, there’s an exciting twist, reminiscent of the Ragnarok: After Daybreak event. Instead of just finding these players in lucky packs, you now have another option – exchanging them for a new currency called Grassroot Greats Shards.
Three groups of players, each having an Overview Rating (OVR) between 108 and 111, are non-tradeable. Throughout the event, you can earn these players by collecting the necessary Shards. You can trade in Grassroot Greats Shards to acquire Grassroot Greats Players, and excess Grassroot Greats Players can then be exchanged for more Grassroot Greats Shards.
By using simpler language and providing context where possible, we’ve made the sentence more readable and easier to understand.
As a die-hard fan, I’d say: After the Ragnarok: After Daybreak event, some top-tier players appeared, but if you’re eyeing any of the 111 OVR Icons, don’t hesitate! They are absolutely worth spending your Gems on. Head on over to the Gallery to discover all the new players added that week.
Grassroot Greats Shard Exchange
In a fashion comparable to the “Ragnarok: After Daybreak” event, there’s also an “Item Exchange” feature, but this time it’s not found within the “Gallery Tab”. Instead, the location for the “Grassroot Greats Shard Exchanges” is in the “Item Exchange” section on the main Game Hub screen. Here, you can swap your acquired “Grassroot Greats event Players”, should you be fortunate enough to do so.
Thus, you can acquire Grassroot Greats Shards by trading players or receiving them from other players. These shards can then be used to obtain specific players in the Grassroot Greats event. Conversely, you can trade in Grassroot Greats event Players to get Grassroot Greats Shards. The trading process is engaging and exclusively involves exchanging Grassroot Greats event Players for Grassroot Greats Shards.
As a gamer, if I swap out a 108 OVR Grassroot Greats event player from my collection, be it tradeable or not, I’ll receive 60 Grassroot Greats Shards in return. These shards can be saved up to acquire a player that fits better with my team composition later on.
It’s worth mentioning that you have the option to obtain players for the “Grassroot Greats event” either by purchasing them from the “Market” or by buying the “Gem Pack offers” in the “Store”, which cost between 2500 and 3000 Gems. However, please keep in mind that any player you acquire from this event will be non-tradeable, meaning you won’t be able to sell it for a profit on the market.
Grassroot Greats Pass
Just like every mini-event, there’s also a Grassroot Greats event with its own pass. To get this pass, you’ll need to finish the Skill Games and Matches found in the Road to Greats and Greats Stories chapters. By doing so, you’ll earn points towards the Grassroot Greats Pass, helping you advance through its levels.
The Grassroot Greats Pass offers two pass options, one paid and one free, with the paid version offering more benefits. This pass comes loaded with in-game resources for the event. As you advance through the Grassroot Greats Pass, you can collect various rewards such as Grassroot Greats Players, Universal Rank Players, FC Points, Gems, Training Transfer Points, Coins, and a special player, Ivan Córdoba, who has an initial Overall Rating (OVR) of 114 and is a CB.
In simpler terms, the Grassroot Greats Pass is divided into two versions – paid and free. The paid version offers more perks than the free one. The pass also includes various event resources. By progressing through the pass, you can earn different items like players, points, gems, coins, and a pre-ranked player, Ivan Córdoba, who is a Center Back with an OVR of 114.
From Grass to Glory
In the Grassroot Greats event, a fresh Rewards track has been introduced! This includes earning Coins, Gems, Grassroot Greats Shards, and a Universal Rank Player named Mascheranos too! Additionally, this path showcases the progression of the Argentine Striker Hero Carlos Tevez throughout his career. You’ll find pre-ranked versions of him at levels 104, 106, and 108 along the path.
The entire journey known as “From Grass to Glory” is open and accessible to everyone. Advancement along this path can be achieved by finishing daily assignments. Each small step taken in completion of these tasks demonstrates growth and progress, encouraging you to climb up from the base level!

At Grassroot Greats, there’s quite a bit of work involved in playing FC Mobile 25. To make your experience even better during this event, we’ve gathered some extra strategies and techniques for you. It required us to put in some effort and crunch the numbers, so let’s dive into the details here.
Here are some guidelines for the upcoming event: Feel free to give your best performance. Since the energy and stamina concerns from the previous season no longer apply, you can now play without worry about depleting your resources. No more constant anxiety over wasting energy or being fully drained! Plus, since the game’s launch, there have been no advertisements to interrupt your enjoyment. So, absolutely, make the most of this opportunity and have a great time!
Grassroot Greats Players
Initially, it’s important to note that the Grassroot Greats Players are not obtainable from the Gallery Tab using your Grassroot Greats Tokens. Instead, you’ll need to accumulate Grassroot Greats Shards to acquire these players.

As a fellow gamer, I’ve found that opting for some top-rated Grassroot Greats players might lead to disappointment. That’s because, despite participating in the event, it seems like the number of required Grassroot Greats you can accumulate isn’t enough.
To acquire the Shards, you’ll have to participate in Shard Exchange, which essentially means trading event Players from the Grassroot Greats event for Grassroot Greats Shards. The Tokens’ value depends on the Overall Rating (OVR) of the Grassroot Greats player you trade.

In the table given earlier, you receive 120 Grassroot Greats Shards upon trading a 109 OVR Grassroot Greats event Player; interestingly, when you claim this same 109 OVR Grassroot Greats event Player, it demands between 450 and 800 of the same Grassroot Greats Shards.
It might initially seem puzzling why someone would make this exchange, but if you happen to obtain any low Overall Value (OVR) players from the Grassroot Greats event or either of the Gem Packs or Greats Stories chapter, it’s important to note that these players can’t be used anywhere in the game. In such a case, swapping them for Shards is the rational course of action.

Based on the calculations presented earlier, it’s clear that playing through the event would net you at least 320 Grassroot Greats Shards without any Shard Exchanges. However, if your goal is to obtain 110-111 OVR Grassroot Greats Players, you’ll need a significantly larger number of Grassroot Greats Shards than that.
As a gamer, I can tell you that to minimize the gap in my team, I opt for purchasing the Grassroot Greats event Players from the market. Then, I use them in the Grassroot Greats Shard Exchanges. Now, if I’ve got some extra Gems, there are two cool Packs available. For 3000 Gems, you can get an untradeable 105-111 OVR Grassroot Greats event Player. Or, for 2500 Gems, you can grab a 103-111 OVR untradeable Grassroot Greats event Player. Both are fantastic additions to my team!
As a passionate collector, I’m thrilled to share that you have the opportunity to snag some top-notch 110-111 OVR Grassroot Greats Players from the ongoing event. However, remember that these prized possessions come at a cost – you’ll need an ample supply of Gems to make them yours!
When a 110 Overall Grassroot Greats Player demands at least 800 Grassroot Greats Shards, it means you’ll roughly need about 30,000 Gems. This amount is ten times greater than the worst-case scenario when buying 105-111 OVR Gem Packs. For a 111 OVR Player, the required Gems increase significantly, making careful decision-making essential given your available Gems. These players are top-tier and end-game material, so use your precious Gems thoughtfully.
Maximize your Mascherano from the event
In FC Mobile, the Grassroot Greats event has introduced several Mascheranos. Moving onto the Road to Greats tabs, you can obtain three Mascheranos as the final repeatable Milestone rewards. Additionally, another Mascherano is available as the final Milestone reward from the Greats Stories tab, contingent on your selections.
Lastly, you’ll find two Mascheranos accessible on the ‘Free’ section of the Grassroots Legends Pass. This brings the total number of Mascheranos you can obtain from this event to between 5 and 6 times. Keep in mind that the Grassroots Legends event tends to be quite demanding on resources. If you choose not to collect any players offered, there are still some ‘Coins’ and ‘Gems’ up for grabs from the ‘Road to Greats’ and ‘Great Stories’ tabs.
FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats Event Players
In summary, the FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats event is the gist of what we have here. There isn’t much more to add regarding this particular event.
