Jeremy Sisto, known for his role on FBI, has hinted that his character might cross over to the new CIA series starring Tom Ellis.
Jeremy Sisto, who plays Jubal Valentine on FBI, recently told ScreenRant that he isn’t currently scheduled to appear in the upcoming CIA series. However, he’s very open to the possibility if offered a role. He also noted that CIA will have a distinctly different feel than FBI, and believes the new show could expand the franchise in exciting new ways.
I’d love to be involved with that show. What’s exciting about it is that while it exists in the same world as my current work, it’s a completely different project. They have a new creative team with their own unique vision for the show’s style and feel, and it’s a great chance to explore new possibilities.
Sisto discussed his experience playing a character who appears in multiple shows within the FBI franchise. Over the past eight years, he’s enjoyed portraying the role, and he especially liked the opportunity to guest star on FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted before returning to the original FBI series. He found it both exciting to explore different shows and reassuring to come back to the main series after those appearances.
I’ve been working on this show for eight years now, and honestly, I adore it. But it’s refreshing to switch things up a bit! This new project feels really special – everyone’s buzzing with energy. It’s great to be involved in something that feels new again, because trying to perfectly nail a show can be incredibly stressful. Still, that excitement makes it all worthwhile. And you know what would be the absolute dream? A crossover episode! It’s the perfect way to contribute to something different, knowing you always have your own show to return to.
The new TV series, a spinoff of FBI, focuses on the CIA. It follows a CIA officer who often bends the rules and an FBI agent who strictly follows them. Despite their clashing personalities, they must work together to defend the country from terrorism and other serious dangers. Natalee Linez stars as Gina Rojas, an intelligence analyst, in the series.
Necar Zadegan is taking over the role of the CIA’s New York Station Chief from Michael Michele. Michele unexpectedly left the show in November 2025, and her exit happened around the same time as other changes behind the scenes. Just days after Michele’s departure, news broke that the original showrunner, Warren Leight, was also leaving the project.
FBI’s midseason finale will air on December 15, 2025, at 8:00 PM ET and 5:00 PM PT on CBS.
