FBI: International season 4 is on a break for the rest of 2024 (when does it return?)
As a dedicated fan who has followed the thrilling adventures of the Fly Team for years, I must say that while the break in the FBI: International schedule is a bit disheartening, it’s not all doom and gloom. The show has always been about patience and perseverance, much like waiting for the perfect shot during a high-stakes undercover operation.
Despite undergoing numerous transformations throughout its latest seasons, The Fly Team remains the same beloved show it’s always been. We eagerly anticipate additional installments, but unfortunately, we have some disappointing news to share. Regrettably, there will be no new episodes of FBI: International season 4 in 2024.
The upcoming hiatus for the show is going to be longer than the previous breaks this season, but that’s fine since it’s typical for shows at this time of year. We’re aware of when the series will resume its airing.
When is FBI: International back with new episodes?
In some good news, the show is coming back in January 2025. Get Tuesday, Jan. 28 in your diary. The show will return at the usual time of 9/8c, sandwiched between the other two FBI shows. CBS isn’t changing a thing when it comes to Tuesday nights!
It may appear that this break is longer than those on other networks, but upon closer examination, it’s not so when you consider all the facts. Networks like NBC and ABC chose their fall finales in November and early December, while CBS opted for mid-December winter finales. Therefore, it makes sense that the return dates for CBS shows will be later in January compared to those on NBC and ABC.
At least it’s not like we have to wait until March 2025 for our favorite shows on ABC’s TGIT lineup! We get them earlier.
Why do we have this lengthy break in the FBI schedule?
As a long-time TV fan who has followed the production cycles of numerous shows, I can confidently say that this short break in the airing schedule is quite common and completely normal. Producers need time to stockpile episodes so they can keep the series running without any interruptions. Although there are always some episodes ready for early next year, the number usually isn’t sufficient to offer a continuous stream of new content. During this period, the cast and crew enjoy a well-deserved break before returning in January to work on creating more episodes. This cycle is part of the behind-the-scenes reality that keeps our favorite shows alive and entertaining us for years to come.
It’s quite logical for television networks to pause airing fresh episodes during this season because their ratings typically decline as people are more engaged with family activities or attending local events. Consequently, many networks provide holiday-themed content during this period, catering to a wider audience and offering something suitable for all ages.
FBI: International is coming back with fresh episodes on Tuesday, January 28th at 9:00/8:00 PM central time on CBS. Don’t miss out; you can catch up on previous episodes on Paramount+.
