FBI: International explains Alana Greggs and her badge number on Wes’s arm
As a devoted fan of FBI: International, I can’t help but be moved by the backstory of Agent Wes Mitchell, brilliantly portrayed by Luke Kleintank. His character’s depth and complexity are truly captivating, and his bond with Agent Vo is one of the most intriguing aspects of the series.
Whenever a person significant to Wes Mitchell passes away, he gets their badge number inked on his arm as a tribute. The latest episode of FBI: International featured him discussing Alana Greggs.
Wes and Vo share a unique connection, as Vo was once mentored by Wes. This prior relationship allows them to interact more freely with each other. Furthermore, Wes perceives Vo as a reliable and respected figure, which has likely encouraged Wes to reveal aspects of himself that he might not disclose to others.
In the 6th episode of season 4 from the series “FBI: International”, Vo and Wes found themselves in a perilous situation that was so close to being fatal. This incident prompted Vo to humorously suggest she’d be his next badge tattoo design, referring to the emblematic insignia carried by FBI agents. Throughout the episode, this lighthearted moment also sparked a conversation about one of the badge numbers, specifically the one assigned to Alana Greggs.
Who was Alana Greggs in FBI: International?
Wes explained that Alana was his former Supervisory Special Agent, who had been killed in the line of duty. Wes blames himself for her death, sharing that he froze during a major moment of a drug bust.
Initially, Wes placed faith in his criminal source who asserted that during the drug raid, no civilians were present in the complex; however, it was later discovered that a man named Cerullo had his children residing in the same building. This revelation left Wes momentarily unable to act due to compassion.
Moments later, Alana burst into the room, and Cerullo fired at her, striking her femoral artery. Blood loss proved fatal, forcing Wes into a decision he’d rather avoid—one he never wishes to face again. He was compelled to fire at Cerullo in front of his own children. This action also signified the collapse of their case since they relied on Cerullo’s testimony, making the situation all the more burdensome for Wes.
His decision to trust his CI cost him a lot in that moment. It’s no wonder that he struggles to trust CIs now. However, while it’s made him a harder boss, it’s also made him a team player. He will always do what it takes to protect his own.
