FBC: Firebreak Gameplay Trailer Sees the Squad Fending Off Deadly Yellow Sticky Notes

As a diehard fan, I can’t help but get excited by the latest gameplay trailer that Remedy Entertainment has unveiled for their upcoming title, FBC: Firebreak. This highly-anticipated spin-off is a thrilling first-person shooter where you step into the role of the Federal Bureau of Control’s rapid response team. Together with two other players, we’ll band together to quell an alarming ‘paranatural’ crisis that’s rapidly spiraling out of control.

As the Firebreak unit’s oldest headquarters comes under attack, you’ll need to team up to repel waves of enemies in cooperative PvE gameplay reminiscent of Left 4 Dead. In the game FBC: Firebreak, you engage in session-based multiplayer where you complete challenging, repeatable missions called Jobs.

Every task comes with unique hurdles, goals, and settings that necessitate collaboration and flexibility to conquer them effectively. The latest teaser unveils ‘The Paper Chase’, a mission where Firebreak gets deployed into the Executive Sector to combat a lethal infestation of pesky sticky notes.

The story progresses through three areas of increasing complexity, culminating in a climactic battle against a massive, gooey sticky note creature. Before embarking on each task, you have the option to select your Emergency Kit, which serves as your character class, and defines the skills and weapons you’ll utilize during the mission. Here are the available Emergency Kits:

1. The Scout: Focuses on mobility and reconnaissance, with abilities that help navigate the environment quickly and efficiently.
2. The Tank: Specializes in heavy armor and brute strength, capable of absorbing significant damage and dishing it out in return.
3. The Medic: Prioritizes healing and support, able to keep teammates alive and on their feet during intense firefights.
4. The Engineer: Expert in creating and maintaining equipment, providing valuable utility and crowd control abilities.
5. The Rogue: Master of stealth and deception, capable of bypassing obstacles undetected and dealing high damage from the shadows.

  • Jump Kit – Focused on electricity-based abilities, excelling in field control and mobility.
  • Fix Kit – A heavy-hitting kit built around impact-based attacks, including a massive wrench.
  • Splash Kit – A water-based kit specialising in manipulating battlefield conditions and supporting teammates.

In summer 2025, you can expect the game titled “Firebreak” to arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Following its release, additional content such as cosmetics will be offered for purchase. Remarkably, new jobs within the game will be accessible for free! Excitingly, “Firebreak” will also be playable from day one through Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.

More details on FBC: Firebreak will be coming on 31st March.
