Faze Clan recently let go of most of its content creators. Despite these changes, one of the company’s founders hopes to maintain a record of its past.
If you follow gaming or live streaming, you’ve likely heard that FaZe Clan recently cut ties with most of its creators in a major shake-up. This unexpected decision has left many wondering what the future holds for the organization. To document its history, one fan created a website dedicated to preserving FaZe Clan’s legacy.
FaZe Clan founder creates FaZe history website, preserving the org’s legacy
Okay, so Clipz, one of the founders of FaZe Clan and a really popular creator, just announced on Twitter that he built an awesome website. It’s basically a complete history of FaZe, showing off everyone who’s ever been a part of the group – over 300 members, both old and new! It’s super cool to see all that history in one place.
After the FaZe Clan website went offline, a fan named Clipz created Faze4ever.com to save the group’s history. According to a tweet, the site includes information on over 300 past and present FaZe Clan members, details of $21 million in esports winnings, and a collection of over 1800 YouTube videos, among other things.
You can visit faze4ever.com in your web browser to learn all about the history of FaZe Clan.
The website showcases a complete history of the organization, from their earliest videos on YouTube to their latest achievements, and also details all of their esports winnings.
FaZe Clan has definitely created a memorable legacy, and though what’s next for them is uncertain, it’s wonderful to look back on all their past achievements and success.
Faze Clan speaks on cleaning house
People have been eager to find out why FaZe decided to cut ties with so many of its creators. While the organization hasn’t given a specific reason, they announced on Twitter that a chapter is closing.
FaZe expressed sadness about the end of this chapter for the organization, calling the way things concluded “tragic” and describing the past few days as emotionally difficult. In a tweet, FaZe wished the departing members all the best in their future endeavors, both professionally and personally, emphasizing the close, family-like bond they shared and promising continued support.
Although details are still limited about the recent removal of many creators, the organization announced it will primarily focus on esports moving forward.
FaZe Clan’s esports team has always been independent, and that will continue. We’re now prioritizing it as our primary focus.
This is a smart business decision, since creating content generally earns more money and has a wider reach than competitive gaming.
