FaZe wins: S1mple dominates as BCG fall at IEM Dallas 2025

At IEM Dallas 2025, everyone kept their gaze fixed on S1mple, since the fate of FaZe Clan hung in the balance during their matchup against BC.Game Esports.

2025 found FaZe Clan struggling through a tough phase, but with the addition of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev to their roster up until The Blast Austin Major, they were optimistic about reviving their past successes. Regrettably, Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2025 didn’t start off favorably for this team.

On Day 1, if Team Liquid defeats FaZe Clan, they’ll find themselves in the lower tournament bracket. However, if they lose to BC.Game Esports, it could mean a disastrous outcome for FaZe Clan.

S1mple begins to find his footing

In their contest versus Liquid, there were several encouraging aspects for FaZe, one notable example being S1mple’s outstanding individual display. Despite the defeat, S1mple managed to secure the highest score for his team, placing second overall in the game.

In their series against BCG, it appeared that things continued as usual. Map 1 featured Mirage as the chosen map, and despite an unsteady start, FaZe pulled off a remarkable comeback. It was S1mple who secured the victory with a impressive 4k in the closing round.

As S1mple trailed slightly behind Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, it appeared that he was gradually regaining control over the game.

As a devoted spectator, I’d rephrase it like this: In the second map, we found ourselves in the realm of Anubis, where FaZe Clan almost entirely held sway. BCG could barely grab a round during the initial half, battling against FaZe’s solo play tempo. S1mple was, as usual, leading the pack on the scoreboard, but every player from both sides made their impact felt.

Simple’s superiority was evident yet again, as he excelled with the AWP once more, significantly outperforming his teammates by the conclusion of the second map.

Despite excelling on Mirage, BCG struggled on Anubis and were ultimately the first team eliminated at IEM Dallas 2023. On the other hand, FaZe secured a 2-0 victory and will need to maintain their top form as they face a challenging lower bracket competition ahead. It remains to be seen if S1mple can sustain his impressive performances throughout IEM Dallas 2025.
