FaZe Clan co-founder Temperrr has responded to accusations of wrongdoing following claims from a former member, Rain, who alleged the organization previously protected someone accused of being a pedophile. This has led to significant public backlash.
Thomas Oliveira, also known as Temperrr and a co-founder of FaZe Clan, has responded to accusations of sexual misconduct made by former member Nordan Shat, nicknamed Rain. Rain had previously claimed that someone with predatory behavior towards children was once associated with the organization.
The situation began when Rain, during a livestream, revealed a major reason he left FaZe Clan: he claimed there was someone involved in child exploitation within the organization. Rain stated he was trying to move past his experiences with FaZe and make the matter public.
Temperrr, Banks, and Rain have all officially left FaZe Clan.
Rain’s allegations on stream
During a livestream on September 14th, Rain explained that he chose to leave FaZe Clan and wasn’t forced out. He also revealed a disturbing reason behind his decision: the involvement of a known pedophile. Rain stated he is willing to face legal consequences to stand up for what he believes is right, and this issue was the breaking point for him.
I feel deeply betrayed by people I trusted – they talked about me behind my back and left me to deal with a very difficult situation alone. It took me a long time to understand what happened, and I’ve been struggling with the emotional fallout for two years, but I haven’t spoken about it until now.
FaZe Banks responds
FaZe Banks quickly denied being the person Rain was talking about, explaining that Rain meant Temperrr. Rain later confirmed this on his own live stream. Both Rain and Banks then streamed together to talk about the accusations against FaZe Temperrr, which led Temperrr to respond twice.

FaZe Temperrr’s first statement on allegations
In a video posted on September 14th, Temperrr firmly denied the claims against him, describing them as upsetting. He also expressed disappointment with Rain, noting his past support for him.
Because he didn’t directly say whether the event occurred, another video was released just three hours later.
Second Clarification Video
Temperrr began his second video on the matter by stating he wouldn’t discuss it further. He explained that his personal life was being made public for others’ amusement, and he felt put in a no-win situation, as the co-founder of FaZe Clan.
Temperrr shared that a previous breakup with his now-wife, Emma Smith, led to a difficult time where he acted in ways he regretted.
Temperrr has acknowledged a previous sexual encounter with someone who was 17 years old in New York. While New York’s age of consent is 17, he claims he didn’t know her age at the time of the encounter.
FaZe Temperrr described a period where he was going out and making questionable choices. He recounted a night in New York where, at a club for adults, he met up with a friend. His friend invited some women, and Temperrr ended up going back to a place with them.
We were all very drunk. I had a sexual encounter with someone, and I later discovered they were seventeen years old. While seventeen is the age of consent in New York, I still felt awful and deeply uncomfortable with the situation.
Temperrr has essentially disappeared from the internet, but the claims against him will probably continue to surface.
The claim that I was called a pedophile is completely ridiculous. Anyone who knows me understands I would never do anything like that, and even Nordan (Rain) would agree.
It’s incredibly frustrating because this issue will likely haunt me indefinitely. Online, people often misrepresent things and spread false narratives, and now I’m stuck facing the consequences of that.
FaZe Rain’s response to Temperrr

Rain saw Temperrr’s video explaining what happened on his Twitch stream, but later told Banks that Temperrr hadn’t disclosed knowing the girl was a minor when he first told them about the situation.
Rain stated on his Twitch stream on September 14th that he doubts the person in question revealed the information later, as they would have mentioned it. Rain explained that this person had two chances to tell him – when they first spoke and during a call with Apex and Banks – but chose not to.
I wouldn’t have shared that information publicly if he had continued to insist he didn’t know. It feels like he’s bringing it up now to deflect blame, and I’m just being honest about that. That’s the impression I get – he would have said something earlier if he hadn’t wanted this to happen.
FaZe Clan and its leaders haven’t yet made any public statement about the claims that have been made.
