A grieving father, whose son sadly passed away during an Oasis concert on Saturday, has shared his thoughts publicly.
Clive Claydon, aged 75, shared with The Guardian that Lee Claydon, who was 45, was a dedicated family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones. He mentioned that Lee had attended the event along with his brother and his brother’s kids. Lee was an ardent fan of the band for his entire life and worked as a landscape gardener in Bournemouth, England.
“He had everything going for him. I am so devastated,” Clive Claydon told the Guardian.
At approximately 10:19 PM BST on Saturday, it was reported that a man had fallen from one of the upper levels of Wembley Stadium, where an event was being held. Officials subsequently confirmed this incident.
Emergency responders found signs suggesting that Lee had fallen, and unfortunately, despite their efforts to resuscitate him, they declared him deceased right at the spot.
In a statement on Sunday, Oasis told NME that it was “shocked and saddened” to hear of his death.
Oasis wishes to express heartfelt sympathies to the family and loved ones who have been affected.
Clive strongly disputed the recent rumors suggesting a connection between his son’s tragic death and alcohol consumption, stating that such insinuations were unfounded.
He’s not into drugs, he might have had a few beers – after all, isn’t that common? But as for the accusations people have made, they were unfounded; it was merely an unfortunate incident.

Entertainment & Arts
After a tragic incident at their Wembley Stadium performance, Oasis expressed their shock and sadness upon learning that a fan had passed away.
Despite others expressing their worries, it was clear that he shared similar views, pointing out that the safety measures implemented at the Wembley Stadium were perhaps less than satisfactory.
He added, “I can only say that there seemed to be spilled beer everywhere, making it slippery. It appears he slipped, but we’re unsure about what happened next.” There are queries regarding the safety barriers as well.
The representatives of the venue confirmed to the BBC that they strictly adhered to stringent health and safety protocols and complied with all applicable laws.
We strongly collaborate with all essential parties involved in organizing events, such as event organizers, local government bodies, the Sports Safety Authority, and law enforcement, to ensure that the events maintain top-notch levels of safety, security, and service for both attendees and staff.
Additionally, Lee’s sibling, Aaron, established a fundraising platform to aid his spouse, Amanda, as well as their kids, Harry, Matthew, and James.
He stated that Lee was “the role model I’ve admired throughout,” and funds collected were intended to help the family endure their “most distressing ordeal.
Lee, affectionately known as a dedicated family man, served as an inspiration to his son, Harry. His love extended broadly across his family, who adored him dearly. If there was ever a need, Lee would have gone out of his way to help us. Unfortunately, he was taken away from us prematurely, and the void left behind is deeply felt.
