Diane von Fürstenberg left her followers surprised with a post showing off a recent, unsightly shiner she had sustained.
Yesterday, the 78-year-old fashion designer shared an Instagram selfie showing a large purple mark near one of her eyes and noticeably sagging eyelid on the same side due to a bruise.
Prinzessin Fürstenberg appeared somewhat bewildered as she disclosed her wound to her 463,000 audience members.
Upon reaching Los Angeles, she admitted in her post that she slipped and struck her forehead on the sidewalk. It’s definitely not a pretty sight, but she’s thankful that nothing worse happened!
Last year, the fashion icon featured in the documentary “Woman In Charge” appeared untroubled by a visible bruise and maintained a positive demeanor instead.
She confidently takes responsibility for the situation, generously uses arnica gel, and is grateful it could have been more severe! She emphasized that taking ownership is key to enduring such circumstances!

In the initial selfie, Diane wore a necklace that said ‘In Charge’, and later she shared another close-up photo where she adjusted her glasses to take a closer look at her swollen left eye, which was blackened.
A source later told Page Six that the designer was injured outside her daughter’s home.
They announced that she had taken a tumble on the sidewalk outside her daughter’s residence, but fortunately, she’s alright. However, she’s quite banged up. She’s known for posting updates every day, so an occasional fall is just a normal part of living for her.
Several fans took to the comments to share their condolences or express shock at the injury.
Among them was the Black-ish star and fashionista Tracee Ellis Ross.
‘Oh Diane!!!! I’m so glad not worse [sic]. Love you!!!!’ she wrote.
Edward Enninful, former editor-in-chief of British Vogue, added, ‘Feel better Diane! So sorry ❤️.’
‘You must be going through a tough time,’ singer Jewel empathized, recounting her own injury. ‘Once, a dog I was trying to pet leaped up and fractured my orbital bone, causing me the most severe black eye! However, the only thing we can do is embrace it! ❤️❤️🩹

Previously, Fürstenberg reflected on her life and achievements by appearing in the Hulu documentary titled “Woman In Charge”.
Following the viewing of the movie at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, she humorously likened the sensation of watching herself to visiting a gynecologist.
‘I looked like s***. I said I liked wrinkles, but I didn’t realize I had so many,’ she joked.
However, she admitted that she ‘enjoyed’ the film during her chat with Gayle King.
In the end, it can truly be said that my life was a testament to my mom… And that’s why I lived such a fulfilling life. My mom always desired for me to have a meaningful life, she explained, speaking of her mother Liliane Nahmias, a Holocaust survivor.
