Farmer Wants a Wife star shares her devastation after accidentally running over her dog – amid her heartbreak over wedding cancellation

As a devoted fan, I can only imagine the torrent of emotions Claire Saunders is experiencing right now. From the heartbreak of her broken engagement to the devastation of running over her beloved dog Moe – it’s a rollercoaster that seems almost too much to bear.

Claire Saunders expressed her heartbreak following an unimaginable incident where she tragically hit her pet dog with her vehicle.

On a Tuesday, the star from The Farmer Wants A Wife shared on her Instagram Stories the surprising event that had hurt her cherished dog Moe.

She openly discussed her feelings of remorse and sorrow, explaining that Moe had to spend the night at the veterinary clinic following the accident and is now struggling with a broken pelvis and spine.

She shared that she unintentionally hit Moe with her vehicle yesterday, which ranks among the most terrifying experiences she’s encountered so far in her life.

He’s currently in a grave yet steady state, largely due to the extraordinary care provided by the team at Charles Street Veterinary Hospital in Launceston.

I’m struggling to find words for the deep regret and sorrow I’m feeling at this moment. If only I had verified he was okay, why didn’t I do that?

Over the past few months, my small dog has brought so much joy into my life that there have been days when I might not have even gotten up, but for him. He is a source of constant happiness and affection, like a tiny bundle of joy.

She continued in another emotional post: ‘My heart is just so tired! He made it through the night.

Feeling utterly dismayed, I realize it’s my responsibility as he’s sustained a broken pelvis and a minor spinal fracture.

‘Thank you for the lovely messages of support, but I just feel like an absolute POS.

‘The complications we are facing now is the nerve damage to his bladder, he can’t pee by himself.’

Following the cancellation of their upcoming wedding, Claire and her partner Andrew Coleman have ended their relationship, leading to a recent heartache for Claire.

The pair encountered each other during the 13th season of Farmer Wants a Wife, announced their intention to marry in March, but postponed their wedding by July.

In a subsequent Instagram post, Andrew expressed his pride towards the two individuals involved, even though their relationship did not succeed as planned.

He found it both thrilling and humbling, noting that it underscored the significance of love and bonding, as he reflected on his experience in the Channel 7 reality television program.

In the midst of life’s whirlwind, I found myself captivated by an extraordinary woman. Impulsively, we embarked on this shared journey. We uprooted our lives, setting down roots on a tranquil farm, where our love was meant to flourish hand-in-hand with the crops. The pace was brisk, the emotions ran deep, and every moment was filled with joy.

He continued: ‘But life had other plans. Despite all the love and effort we both gave, sometimes things just don’t work out.

Cohabitating presented unique difficulties for us, and eventually, we understood that our journeys were not destined to remain entwined.

I’m disappointed that our connection is over, yet I hold my head high knowing we put in our utmost effort. Even though it didn’t take us to the destination we desired, it contributed significantly to our personal growth.

Over the course of our journey together, I’ve poured my heart and spirit into every step. It’s bittersweet now as we part ways, but the experience has fortified us, enlightened us, and sharpened our focus on the true essence of life.

Moving on, I opt to honor the affection we experienced, the insights gleaned, and the resilience cultivated. There are no regrets, only appreciation instead.

In the 2023 series, the beloved pair discovered their romance blossoming. They made headlines by exiting the show prematurely to focus on their newly formed relationship.
