Farmer Wants A Wife fans brutally slam show after series nabs Logie nomination: ‘Worst season ever’
Fans of the Seven series are not thrilled by the news that Farmer Wants A Wife has been nominated for a Logie, as they have strong attachments to their long-running program.
It’s clear that many viewers have been disappointed by the most recent season, as they’ve highlighted flaws in the editing such as excessive dramatization, exaggerated scenes, and unjust portrayals of characters as villains.
Some have even gone so far as to label it the ‘worst season ever’.
Though I’ve faced my fair share of critique, I can proudly say that our series’ 15th edition has earned a well-deserved nomination for the Best Structured Reality Program. To share this exciting news with you all, we took to Instagram and made the announcement on Monday.
Hooray! The show “#FarmerAU” has been nominated in the category of Best Structured Reality Program for the 2025 TV Week Logie Awards! #ExcitingTimesAhead

Supporters of the reality show flooded the comment area, expressing their frustration as a large number of them indicated they were quite tired of the nomination.
‘No way it has been the worst ever,’ one person wrote.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my dismay: “This season is a letdown compared to the early ones that I loved so much. The creators seem to have introduced too much unnecessary drama and made the villain the main focus.
One fan angrily penned: ‘WTF – This was the worst season EVER – It was a Temu version of MAFS….’
Initially, the program was genuinely good, but now it seems like they’re only aiming for higher ratings by becoming a laughing stock. Frankly, I didn’t bother finishing it because I found it utterly disappointing.
‘Sorry, not best reality program. Structured or not, whatever that implies,’ another chimed in.
Despite the negative sentiment in the comments section, the show’s TV ratings have been positive.
Last Tuesday night, the Seven series outshone other hit shows such as MasterChef Australia in the overnight ratings, claiming victory.

The wholesome dating show scored an impressive total national audience of 853,000 viewers.
On Channel Nine, the fresh season of Lego Masters Australia drew a comparatively lower audience of 741,000 viewers, tuning in for the peculiar competition.
10 Network’s airing of MasterChef Australia saw an increase, with 648,000 viewers tuning in, compared to the 619,000 viewers from the same period last week. This represents a slight improvement in viewership for the show.
In simple terms, the national average rating takes into account viewers who watch through traditional broadcasting, as well as those who choose to watch on-demand, whether they’re located in major cities or regional areas.
