Farmer Wants A Wife fan favourites expecting first child… four months after revealing IVF journey: ‘Our little miracle is on the way’

Farmer Wants A Wife stars Jess Nathan and Andrew Guthrie are expecting their first child.

The fan-favourite couple took to Instagram on Sunday to share the joyous news with their followers.

The couple posted two sweet black-and-white photos of Andrew tenderly holding Jess’s growing baby bump.

In one scene, Jess lovingly embraced her husband while he held their baby.

The couple announced they are expecting a baby, sharing their joy with a heartwarming post.

‘Holding close in our hearts anyone still waiting, hoping, and navigating their own journey.’

The post was met with an outpouring of congratulations from friends and followers.

Sarah Carey, a former participant in FWAW, shared her congratulations, saying, ‘Awww congratulations guys. So incredibly happy for you!’

Tara Hurl, a fellow cast member from 2008, shared her excitement, saying, “I’m so happy for both of you and hope you’re doing well! Congratulations!”

‘Awwww congratulations to you both, this is such amazing news!!’ wrote another fan.

The announcement comes four months after the couple revealed they were beginning their IVF journey.

In an August interview with Woman’s Day, Jess expressed her eagerness to have children, jokingly saying she’d love to have a large family – ‘a million children,’ she admitted.

She shared her desire for a large family, hoping for around eleven children. She joked that if they needed to use IVF, it might increase their chances of having twins. However, she ultimately feels confident that they’ll have a baby when the time is right.

Jess received a stage-four endometriosis diagnosis in 2016 and now works as an ambassador for Endometriosis Australia, raising awareness and support for the condition.

I’ve always admired her honesty, and she recently shared with a magazine that she knew becoming a mother wouldn’t be simple for her. It’s so relatable, and I really appreciate her openness about it.

She explained that she’d always suspected getting pregnant might be more difficult for her than it is for some people, so she wasn’t shocked to be facing fertility challenges now.

It’s probably a good thing we were aware this might happen and had time to prepare ourselves.

Living on a sheep and cattle farm in Delegate, a remote part of southern New South Wales, presented another challenge for the couple: the nearest doctor was a full four-hour drive away and back.

Jess opened up about her endometriosis battle in 2021 in a candid Instagram post.

I was really struck by her recent post. Just five days after her third surgery for severe endometriosis, she shared a photo of herself – bravely showing her vulnerability in just her underwear, and openly wearing a device she uses to help with the pain of her period cramps. It felt so raw and honest, and I admire her for sharing her journey with such openness.

‘Still swollen and sore, but 100 per cent on the mend!’ she wrote in the caption.

Living with a long-term illness can be incredibly lonely and discouraging, and I truly sympathize with anyone going through it.

Jess shared her excitement after surgery, saying doctors told her she shouldn’t have any trouble getting pregnant.

The blonde said she was feeling ‘grossly emotional’, which she attributed to hormones.

She added that having a baby naturally is her biggest hope, though she knows there are no guarantees. She expressed her happiness about the possibility.

Jess and Andrew met and fell in love on the reality TV show Farmer Wants A Wife in 2021, and they recently got married after three years together.
