Currently playing in theaters, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” unveils, while a forthcoming art book, slated for release later this year, showcases a selection of concept designs for one of the movie’s antagonists.
What villain looks different in The Fantastic Four’s concept art?
In November, Marvel Studios will unveil an “Art of” book showcasing the movie. This book includes character sketches and designs, as well as exclusive artwork for the film not previously seen, such as a unique perspective on Giganto – Mole Man’s colossal creature that makes a brief appearance in the movie.
Initially, the Giganto depicted in the film wasn’t exactly like his comic-book version. Instead, early sketches showcased a robotically armored Giganto being battled by the Fantastic Four. Here is some of that preliminary artwork for your perusal:

As a die-hard movie enthusiast, let me tell you about the star-studded cast of the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps. I, personally, will be thrilled to see Pedro Pascal take on Reed Richards, with Vanessa Kirby stepping into Sue Storm’s shoes, Joseph Quinn bringing Johnny Storm to life, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach embodying Ben Grimm. The film also features Ralph Ineson as the ominous Galactus and Julia Garner portraying dual roles as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. To add to the excitement, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been mysteriously cast in unspecified roles – can’t wait to find out more about their characters!
Amidst a colorful, futuristic setting reminiscent of the 1960s, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps presents the debut of Marvel’s original family: Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch) and Ben Grimm (The Thing). They encounter their toughest test to date.
On this venture, Kevin Feige takes on the role of a producer, with Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis serving as executive producers. Mitch Bell joins in as a fellow producer, and the musical scores are brought to life by Michael Giacchino.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is out in theaters now.
