Fantastic Four Clip Reveals Shocking Connection to WandaVision That Fans Can’t Miss!
Before the July debut of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps“, Marvel Studios shared some intriguing, spoiler-filled clips from the upcoming film. Notably, director Matt Shakman’s initial project within the MCU mirrors the style of “WandaVision” on Disney+.
At Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) in Mexico, Marvel Studios revealed a fresh snippet from the upcoming movie titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps“. According to spectators, this excerpt displayed the team on their spacecraft, with Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) experiencing labor pains, while Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) was seen in pursuit and attempting to capture the newborn.
Marvel Comics enthusiasts are aware that Franklin Richards, the firstborn of Sue Storm and Reed Richards, possesses incredible powers, capable of shaping reality (take a peek at this sneak peek of baby Franklin Richards from Fantastic Four!). Interestingly, Sue Storm’s childbirth experience shares similarities with another MCU mother who experienced intense labor while giving birth to a superpowered offspring.
In Episode 3 of the 2021 series “WandaVision”, directed by Matt Shakman, Wanda/Scarlet Witch secretly delivers twin sons Tommy and Billy (Wiccan and Speed) while concealing her pregnancy from Geraldine/Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Parris).
Throughout that time, Wanda’s 1970s simulated environment kept malfunctioning and causing chaos. Yet, with hindsight, it is understood that Wanda was deeply mourning the death of Vision and may not have been consciously in control of her actions.
Additionally, even though Wanda didn’t risk losing her sons in Episode 3, such a terror is likely to confront her by the series finale.
Why WandaVision’s Fantastic Four Parallel Is a Good Sign
Because Matt Shakman did an excellent job directing the period-themed “WandaVision,” it made sense for Marvel to hire him for the 1960s, futuristic “Fantastic Four: First Steps.” Moreover, since Sue Storm’s pregnancy in “First Steps” has been confirmed, it could be that Marvel Studios chose Shakman because of the film’s focus on an extended family narrative as well.
In the upcoming movie The Fantastic Four, there’s speculation about whether Sue Storm and Franklin Richards might have characteristics in common with Wanda and her sons. As of now, it remains unclear how pregnancy will impact Sue prior to delivery, when Franklin Richards’ powers will emerge, or his age by the end of the film.
Despite receiving high praise for its swiftly unfolding family storyline, WandaVision being directed by Matt Shakman is a thrilling and hopeful indication of the way Marvel’s First Family may also excel in depicting such dynamics in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
