Fans turn on Taylor Swift as they accuse billionaire of using ‘sloppy AI’ to plug new album

Fans are wondering if Taylor Swift‘s promotional material for her new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ may have involved some unusual or flawed uses of AI.

The popular singer, 35, is enjoying a fantastic period in her life, with a new engagement, a hit album, and a successful movie. However, she’s facing criticism for using artificial intelligence in hidden ads, or “Easter eggs,” aimed at her dedicated fans, known as Swifties.

To promote her 12th album and a related film, Taylor Swift created an online scavenger hunt for her fans, using clues hidden within Google searches.

A total of twelve different videos were hidden behind QR codes. Scanning these codes opened ‘orange doors’ which played short clips, ultimately revealing the message: ‘You must remember everything, but mostly this, the crowd is your king.’

Fans noticed what they considered to be errors in the AI-generated content used to promote Taylor Swift’s new projects, leading to criticism online.

Daily Mail has reached out to Swift’s rep for further comment on the story.

A fan criticized Swift, arguing that as a leading figure in the entertainment industry, she should be setting a better example for others.

One fan commented that Taylor Swift seems to have used AI for all of the visuals in her recent project, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ and expressed disappointment, especially given her popularity.

A social media user reminded everyone of Taylor Swift’s public dispute with music executive Scooter Braun, which began when Braun bought the rights to Swift’s older music from her previous record label owner, Scott Borchetta.

The user asked, ‘Why a billionaire spending YEARS defending their art would need this?’

The user expressed strong disappointment with the decision to feature AI in Swift’s advertising.

Someone else pointed out that Swift’s adoption of artificial intelligence was simply a reflection of current trends, adding that technological advancements are happening very quickly.

A user explained the mistakes made when using AI to promote the album.

Someone familiar with Swift code closely examined a clearly flawed image and highlighted how it didn’t match what the AI should have produced.

I’m not against using AI, but the work is often careless. It seems like either the person using it or their team isn’t paying attention to detail.

It would have been better to fix these problems with traditional visual effects. Now, people might start questioning if she used AI in other areas of her work.

The user noted that ‘incidents like these are actually bad’ for the AI industry.

After looking closely at one concerning picture, someone commented that they were initially skeptical, but the difference between the beginning and end of the sequence clearly showed something was off.

‘And as shown in the last shot, how would anybody get behind this bar lol.’

Taylor Swift has been in the news lately because she’s engaged to Travis Kelce, a football player who has won the Super Bowl three times. He is 35 years old.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26th with a series of five romantic photos shared on Instagram.

The teachers, known online as TNT, announced their wedding in a viral post. They captioned it with the news and included a dynamite emoji, referencing their nickname.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce began dating almost two years ago. On September 24, 2023, Swift attended Kelce’s game against the Chicago Bears, watching from a private suite with his mother, Donna.

Taylor Swift was seen attending Travis Kelce’s game against the New York Jets in New Jersey on October 1, 2023.

I remember when she really turned heads by showing up with such an amazing group of friends! Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and even Sophie Turner were all with her – it was a seriously star-studded moment.
