In December 2003, Robert came into this world, and he was only two years old when his dad, Steve, met an unfortunate fate in September 2006. This happened when Steve was struck by a stingray while filming on the Great Barrier Reef.

In 1970, it was Bob, Steve’s father, who constructed the renowned Australia Zoo right from its foundations. He later handed over this zoo to his late son, Steve, and his wife Terri in 1992.

Last month, Terri opened up about her life together with her late husband.

In a recent conversation, a tearful Terri opened up about her 14-year union with the well-known conservationist, expressing her regret that he is no longer among us.

Steve was likely the most impulsive individual among us all. While it’s often suggested to seize each day with enthusiasm, not many of us truly manage to do so daily.

Apart from being a proactive individual, Steve was practically the antithesis of a procrastinator. In fact, he could be aptly described as someone who always acted promptly and eagerly, often doing tasks before they were even due.

Back in our conversation, I couldn’t help but cheer for my adored kids, Bindi, age 26, and Robert, at 21, not forgetting my precious little 4-year-old granddaughter, Grace Warrior! What a remarkable trio they make!

She expressed that her life is overflowing with depth and abundance. However, she regrettably mentioned each day she longs for Steve to be present. Yet, she feels incredibly fortunate.
