Fans Split Over TLC’s Shocking New 1000-Lb Spin-Off: What You Need to Know!
TLC has divided fans as it announced another 1000-Lb. spin-off.
A network has just welcomed 1000-pound Roommates into their program lineup and unveiled the show, starring Jaz and Nesha, in a freshly launched trailer on Thursday.
The story presents Jaz and Nesha, two roommates who are each grappling with weight issues and have differing methods for losing weight.
Instead of Jaz being resolute about shedding pounds primarily for her child’s well-being, even contemplating surgery and acknowledging the use of a weight loss injection, Nesha adopts a more careful stance concerning this matter.
The show is the latest 1000-Lb spin-off from TLC.
The reality show “1000-Lb Sisters,” featuring sisters Amy Slaton-Halterman and Tammy Slaton, first appeared on the network in 2020 and came back for its fifth season just last month. A spin-off titled “1000-Lb Best Friends” was also introduced in 2020.
The newest show featuring Jaz and Nesha, as announced via an Instagram post, garnered a variety of responses in the comment section, ranging from some feeling disinterested about the subject matter to others expressing enthusiasm. One commentator even referred to them as the ‘new Tammy and Amy.’
‘I’m so over this era of TLC,’ one posted.
‘Did we need another show like this TLC?’ another wrote.
‘That’s it dammit, TLC it’s time to stop the madness now,’ another wrote.
‘Tlc will literally make a show about anything it’s ridiculously dumb,’ one posted.
‘I’m officially boycotting the show,’ another wrote.
‘I’ll be watching! I love these shows!’ another posted.
Additionally, there was a lot of excitement surrounding the new element: “I’ll give them a try, and they seem rather intriguing,” one commented.
‘Yet another one? This is getting a bit much, after the 1000-pound sisters and the 1000-pound friends. But I must admit, I’m still curious to see it.’

‘The new Tammy and Amy,’ another wrote.
‘Seated,’ one proclaimed.
The upcoming show will premiere on TLC on June 10th, airing at 10 PM Eastern and Pacific Time. The trailer promises a thrilling mix of excitement and tension for viewers to enjoy.
‘We’re both a little extra. Merely 1,000 pounds extra,’ Nesha says.
Jaz acknowledges that they’ve attempted numerous strategies to lose weight, but when Nesha offers them a drink concocted from sea moss, they both recoil in distaste instead.
Series about losing the weight, Jaz considers undergoing surgery

‘But now, it’s time to get busy,’ Jaz says.
Determined to shed some weight for her child’s sake, she schedules an appointment with a physician to discuss undergoing weight loss surgery.
‘I’m all my daughter has. I have to be here for her,’ she tells her doctor.
In this scenario, it could be rephrased as follows: ‘The situation is critical; the doctor warns that if Jasmine doesn’t have the operation, her life may not last much longer.’
Nevertheless, Jaz expresses apprehension about surgery: ‘It’s something that truly terrifies me,’ she explains.

For Jaz, a challenge arises due to the discrepancy between her and her roommate’s views regarding their weight loss objectives.
‘It would be easier if you were doing this with me,’ Jaz tells Nesha.
Nonetheless, Nesha confesses: ‘I aim to shed pounds, yet it doesn’t necessitate me being constantly weighed on a scale.’
Jaz has chosen various approaches for her weight loss journey, among them is a ‘fat-reducing injection’, but she doesn’t clarify which exact product she uses.
Jaz shares with her family that she’s been using a weight-loss injection. Her relatives voice their concerns. One of them admits, “I’m not fond of that injection.

Jaz’s weight loss concerns Nesha with her roommate now admitting to being in a lot of pain.
‘I’m in pain,’ Jaz says, clarifying she felt the pain ‘everywhere.’
‘Yeah she’s losing the weight, but at what cost?’ Nesha postulates in a confessional.
At one point, Jaz seemingly suffering a medical emergency as she is taken away by an ambulance.

She breaks down while speaking with Nesha from her hospital bed via Facetime.
‘Nesha, I’m scared. What if I’m never gonna be able to walk again?’
Cameras document the tense scene as they move her into the operating room, where Jaz exhibits nervousness, drumming her fingers ahead of a yet-to-be-disclosed treatment.
‘I don’t know what happened to her but I know that it’s a wake-up call,’ a tearful Nesha says.
