Fans react to first trailer for new “peak comedy” Netflix series with Will Ferrell

Netflix has shared a first look at its new comedy series, The Hawk, from Will Ferrell. Ferrell plays a former golf star who comes out of retirement after 20 years to try and win again.

According to TUDUM, Lonnie Hawkins, the top golfer in 2004, is finding it difficult to regain his former success as he nears the end of his career. While his physical health suggests it’s time to retire, he still feels driven to continue playing.

Everyone says Lonnie’s washed up – his ex-wife and even his son, Lance, who’s become a huge golf star! But I just can’t accept it. With only one major championship left to win, completing the Grand Slam, I believe he’s still capable of making the greatest comeback golf has ever seen. He’s one good shot away from proving everyone wrong!

The trailer features Lonnie, looking focused and wearing a bright pink golf shirt and a white visor that says “HAWK.” It shows him practicing his swing as he gets ready for what promises to be his biggest competition yet.
