Fans of the 1980s music rejoice as Toto announces 2026 tour dates

It’s surprising how Toto’s “Africa” became so popular. The song is a classic example of smooth, easy-listening soft rock with somewhat strange lyrics. It’s easy to forget that when it first came out, the sound felt new and exciting.

Whether or not the song is good is a matter of personal taste. Though listeners who prefer harder-edged music might not enjoy it, bands like Weezer have covered the song with very few changes – a strong testament to its quality and appeal.

If you’re a longtime fan of Toto, especially albums like Toto IV and songs like “Africa,” you’ll be happy to hear they’re planning a tour in 2026, following dates in 2025. Though they don’t release new albums often, touring continues to be very successful for the band.
