Fans notice bizarre detail in Gary Busey’s new video… three months after he was handed groping sentence

Gary Busey shared a strange video on Instagram this week, seemingly as a joke, but it included a surprising detail that many fans found hard to believe.

Oh my god, it was Gary Busey! He seriously just told me he had a Christmas gift for me, and then… and then he started honking like a goose! A GOOSE! It was the most amazing, bizarre, perfect thing ever. Eighty-one years old and just letting loose with the goose honks – I’m telling you, it was a religious experience.

“That’s the sound geese make when they fly!” the actor explained, recording a video of himself from inside a car. He gestured upwards as if to indicate the birds were overhead.

He chuckled and explained that when geese gather, they naturally honk loudly in the air, pausing between bursts of the sound.

People quickly commented online, pointing out a remarkable detail: in the 31-second video, Gary Busey didn’t blink once.

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan commented, ‘Not a single blink – that’s amazing!’ Another fan jokingly added, ‘People who are gone don’t blink, of course.’

People expressed their astonishment, commenting on his lack of blinking. They said things like, ‘He didn’t blink at all!’ and ‘I don’t think he blinked once!’ Others simply wondered, ‘Does he ever blink?’

This video was released three months after he received a two-year probation sentence. He had previously pleaded guilty to inappropriately touching a woman at a horror movie convention in 2022.

In August 2022, 81-year-old actor Gary Busey was accused of inappropriate touching of multiple women during a photo session at Monster-Mania Con, a horror fan convention in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Prosecutors stated that Busey inappropriately touched two women by grabbing their buttocks and tried to unhook the bra of another woman, reportedly asking her where she had purchased it.

The actor’s lawyer asked the court to only issue a fine as punishment, noting his age, health problems, and that he lives permanently in California.

In September, Camden County Judge Gwendolyn Blue denied the request, explaining that the crime was serious and Busey had a history of involvement with the legal system.

‘In the interest of justice, I am sentencing this defendant to two years’ probation,’ Blue said.

The judge also prohibited Busey from contacting the victim, according to ABC6.

He has 45 days to challenge the decision and can also request to continue his probation in California, which his lawyer said was a positive outcome.

According to his lawyer, Mr. Busey is happy the legal matter is finished and he can move forward without ongoing public difficulties.

At first, Busey claimed he hadn’t done anything wrong. After the charges were filed, he told a reporter that ‘nothing happened’ and insisted the women were making up the story. He then pleaded not guilty in court in March 2025.

However, in July, Busey changed his plea to guilty on one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact. His lawyer, Blair Zwillman, explained the charge involved inappropriately touching a woman’s buttocks while she was wearing clothes.

Appearing via Zoom from California, the actor acknowledged in court that the assault wasn’t a mistake or accidental.

In July, Judge Blue asked Busey if he intended to plead guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual contact. Busey, looking away from the camera, responded, ‘Am I pleading guilty? No.’

I was so relieved when his lawyers quickly jumped in with a clear ‘yes!’ after a bit of confusion. He seemed a little unsure at first, but then happily agreed, saying, ‘Ok, I am!’ It was a funny moment, and honestly, a bit heartwarming to see.

Judge Blue firmly corrected the statement, explaining that wasn’t accurate, and then noted that Busey had already discussed the charge with his lawyers.

When the judge asked Gary Busey a second time if he wanted to enter a guilty plea, he simply said, ‘Yes.’ This represents a significant legal issue for the veteran actor, who has been working in the entertainment industry for many years.

Gary Busey, who was born in Texas and grew up in Oklahoma, received an Academy Award nomination for his role as Buddy Holly in the 1978 movie, The Buddy Holly Story.

Over the years, I’ve really enjoyed watching his career blossom! After getting his start, he became a huge movie star with iconic roles in films like Lethal Weapon and Predator 2. Plus, he was a familiar face on TV, popping up in lots of different shows – a true testament to his versatility!

Gary Busey suffered a severe head injury in a motorcycle crash in 1988. He also struggled with substance abuse and documented his journey to recovery on the reality show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2008, according to The New York Times.

More recently, he portrayed God in the 2019 Off-Broadway musical Only Human.
