Fans go wild over Austin Butler and Tom Holland being cast as drug-smuggling brothers in new thriller
As a dedicated fan who has been following these two extraordinary talents since their early days, I am absolutely thrilled about Austin Butler and Tom Holland teaming up for “American Speed”! The thought of these two heartthrobs playing real-life brothers in a high-speed, action-packed drama based on the 80s IMSA scandal is beyond exciting. Their chameleon-like skills will undoubtedly bring these characters to life, and I can’t wait for some added comic relief!
Austin Butler and Tom Holland have joined forces for an exhilarating high-speed journey hitting theaters, leaving their enthusiastic fanbase absolutely thrilled!
In the upcoming Darren Aronofsky thriller, 33-year-old actor Butler will take on the role of a driver in the film titled “American Speed.
In an upcoming drama set during the ’80s IMSA scandal, Austin Butler (the actor who portrayed Elvis) and 28-year-old Holland will take on roles as real-life siblings, where their characters, along with several race car drivers, were accused of using illegal activities such as drug trafficking, money laundering, or tax evasion to boost their careers.
No date has been announced for the beginning of shooting, according to Deadline.
‘It already has won with casting,’ wrote one fan on the Screen Thrill News Instagram page.
‘Hell yeah that’s interesting,’ commented another.
Another fan had high praise for the actors’ chameleon-like skills. ‘They don’t give drug smuggler vibes but they can act so this will work. Hope they add some comedy to it also!’
One fan gave a thumbs up to the casting say the two heartthrobs ‘do actually look like brothers.’
In the film “Caught Stealing,” currently under production in New York City, Butler is exploring the role of a criminal character.
He plays a burned-out former baseball player who finds himself embroiled in a dangerous struggle for survival when he gets unexpectedly involved with members of the criminal underbelly of 1990s New York City.
The project features Hollywood heavies such as Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio and Zoë Kravitz.
Holland recently announced his participation in the latest entry into the Spider-Man franchise.
As I eagerly anticipate, I too have been penciled in for collaboration with the esteemed Oscar-winning actor, Matt Damon, on the upcoming project masterminded by none other than Christopher Nolan himself, who will helm this production as director.
The now-sober actor has also launched his own non-alcoholic beer, BERO.
In his words to Food & Wine magazine, Holland expressed that the market seemed like a place where he could thrive. He was deeply passionate about embracing sobriety, advocating for a healthier lifestyle, making an impact, and assisting others. He mentioned that his initial year of abstinence would have been significantly smoother if a product like Bero had been available to help him along the way.
The beverage is now available at numerous locations in New York City (the Big Apple), and Holland expresses ambitious aspirations for his latest concoction. He shared with the media that he dreams of it being served on draft in every pub nationwide, and eventually globally, one day.
Enjoying a shared draft beer holds a unique charm. I vividly recall the joy of sharing my initial draft beer with my father, and it’d be truly remarkable if I could replicate that experience with Bero.
