Fans furious over detail in Addison Rae’s Aussie tour

Fans of Addison Rae are expressing their anger after it was revealed this week that a concert tour by the American pop star will take place in Australia.

Approximately 60,000 eager music fans have been racing to secure tickets for her performances, yet they’ve encountered extended delays due to the restricted number of concerts taking place at intimate venues.

I’m thrilled to share that instead of filling up massive arenas, I’ve opted for more intimate settings like the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, seating approximately 1600 people. This way, I can truly connect with my audience and create an unforgettable experience together.

24-year-old music producer Diet Pepi, known for his hits in Melbourne, will perform at a venue that accommodates only 2000 people, which is the Forum.

One fan expressed dismay on Frontier Touring’s Instagram on Thursday, stating, “It’s wicked cruel that over 60k are in line for a venue with a capacity of just 2k due to the increased shows added to Rae’s schedule to cater to the high demand.

A different spectator remarked in the discussion, stating, ‘It seems someone brilliant made the choice for The Forum as the optimal venue,’ and furthermore, ‘I believe Rod Laver Arena could be filled multiple times over instead.’

The person expressed their frustration by saying, “I’m urgently requesting that you reschedule our Sydney performance at the Hordern Pavilion instead,” since the Hordern Pavilion has a capacity of 5,500 spectators.

Intriguingly, Rae’s audience began questioning why the artist was performing at venues like the Forum and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall, with a capacity of 3,300 people, that are usually designated for mature audiences.

‘Melbourne all ages come on,’ moaned one, while another added, ‘Please no 18+ [shows].’

Rae was originally scheduled to play a mere three gigs in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney.

The Aussie tour promoter has now added an extra gig in each city.

Originally a popular TikTok personality, this music composer has just announced a tour of six shows across Australia. These will take place at Melbourne’s The Forum on the 11th and 12th of November, Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on the 14th and 15th, and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on the 17th and 18th of November.

On Tuesdays post, Rae unveiled a series of dates indicating that her tour would commence in Dublin, then move through various European and American cities.

‘The Addison tour is really real,’ she excitedly captioned the announcement.

‘I can’t believe I get to sing and dance for you (and with you) this autumn. Are you coming?’

Fans in Australia were ecstatic following the announcement, as they voiced their enthusiasm on promoter Frontier Touring’s Instagram account.

‘A good way to start the day isn’t it?’ one quipped, while another offered a similar: ‘Best news.’

General on sale begins at 10am on Friday, June 20.

The announcement follows closely after the release of Addison’s first album, titled after their own name, which was made available this month.

Due to popular songs like Diet Pepsi, Aquamarine, and Headphones On, the album has secured the fourth position on the Billboard 200, as well as the second position on the Australian ARIA charts.
