Fans Are in Tears Over ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’ Trailer—What It Means to Them!
For over a decade, the horror world has been captivated by the chilling tales of the Conjuring Universe, with its core remaining deeply rooted in the characters of Ed and Lorraine Warren. Following three thrilling films, their story is set to conclude in The Conjuring: Last Rites. Fans are expressing their excitement and reminiscing about the franchise’s impact on social media.
On September 5, 2025, the movie The Conjuring: Last Rights is set to premiere, featuring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reprising their roles as the renowned paranormal investigators one last time. In this final adventure, they delve into the haunting of the Smurl family, a case that the real-life Warrens were involved with in 1986. User @SWEENEYSTVEIT on X can’t bear the thought of this captivating tale coming to an end.
As the Conjuring series draws to a close, I’ll deeply miss the excitement that comes with awaiting each new installment, the chilling moments, but above all, the enchanting love story between Patrick and Vera, skillfully portrayed within the horror genre. I can’t help but feel sad that this chapter is coming to a close.
As a devoted cinephile, I must admit that ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It’ didn’t quite live up to my expectations. However, given that I’ve been along for the ride since the beginning of this captivating series, I’m eager to join everyone for the finale and see how it all wraps up.
On a more personal note, this franchise has left an indelible mark on me, stirring emotions deep within my life story.
The Conjuring films are impressive due to their ability to stir deep emotions. Watching the initial movie left me in tears, especially during the scene of her reminiscing about her family’s past… I could really use a box of tissues!
‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’ Is the Beginning of Something New
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but ponder about the upcoming film, “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” which might mark the end of Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson’s portrayal of the Warrens… or could it be just a temporary goodbye? The Conjuring Universe, as we know it, seems to be reaching its climax, but let’s not forget that for Warner Bros., it’s all about the money. So, if there’s one thing certain, it’s that this isn’t an end, but a fresh start. We’re about to witness a new phase, reminiscent of Marvel’s Phase 2, with more spine-tingling movies in the works and ready to hit the big screen.
As a fervent fan, I eagerly anticipate the bittersweet experience that is “Last Rites” for me, @11Gagan_Janagal. The on-screen pairing of @VeraFarmiga and @patrickwilson73 never fails to impress, and the final case in this series promises to be heartbreaking.
On the other hand, @chaerinxiel has come up with a clever way to prepare for “Last Rites” later this year:
“Time to binge-watch the conjuring universe again. September pls come fasttttt.”
If you’d like to follow suit, feel free to explore all three primary movies currently streaming on Max prior to the release of Last Rites in September. Additionally, there are numerous spin-offs available as well (with exceptions being Annabelle and The Nun, which can be found on Netflix). This offers a wealth of content to help build your anticipation for the final film. If you’re interested in learning more about the background of the Warrens, we’d recommend watching Devil’s Road: The True Story of Ed and Lorraine Warren as well.
