Fans are convinced Ryan Reynolds trolled Justin Baldoni with VERY snarky joke in Deadpool & Wolverine
People are delving deep into the heated dispute, as well as the ongoing legal battles, between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
As a devoted admirer of both Deadpool and Wolverine, I can’t help but ponder if my favorite actor, Ryan Reynolds, subtly jabbed at Jensen Ackles during their on-screen banter in the film. After all, it’s not uncommon for actors to infuse real-life dynamics into their roles, right?
The movie, featuring Hugh Jackman alongside it, was simultaneously produced with “It Ends With Us” and penned by Reynolds.
In the movie, Deadpool and Wolverine encounter a Deadpool ‘variant’ named Nicepool.
Nicepool (who was also played by Ryan) sports a man bun, a hairstyle Justin wore for years.
The character expresses delight over Ladypool, portrayed by Blake, stating, “Wow, you’ve got to see Ladypool! She’s stunning. It’s hard to believe she just had a baby, as you wouldn’t guess it from her appearance.
In the popular video-sharing app TikTok, someone suggested that the character Nicepool from “Deadpool & Wolverine” might actually be actor Justin Baldoni. When you consider that Blake Lively portrayed Ladypool in this film, this theory gains significant credibility.

Deadpool responds, ‘I don’t think you’re supposed to say that.’
In response, Nicepool, with one hand on his chest, says, ‘That’s OK. I identify as a feminist.’
Baldoni often expresses his views openly, stating that he identifies as a feminist. In the year 2017, he delivered a TED talk under the title ‘I’ve had enough of trying to be a typical man.’
During his speech, he expressed that he strives to support gender equality, giving prominence to the views and experiences of women on a global scale.
The next year, Baldoni penned an article for Romper, discussing his role as a supportive father of his two kids, who he refers to as a ‘feminist dad’.
In June 2024, Deadpool and Wolverine finished filming their project, five months following an ‘all hands’ meeting between Lively, Reynolds, and Baldoni to address persistent sexual harassment and uncomfortable conduct as claimed by Lively in her lawsuit.
In the months leading up to the start of filming “It Ends With Us,” Lively welcomed her and Reynolds’ fourth child, a son named Olin, into the world.
In both lawsuits, she claims that Baldoni frequently belittled her by subtly disparaging her physical appearance and weight through indirect means.
In a different sequence within the Deadpool & Wolverine storyline, the villainous Cassandra Nova, portrayed by Emma Corrin, manages to penetrate Deadpool’s thoughts in order to uncover his past experiences.
She actually reaches into Deadpool’s head while he shouts, “Where on earth is the intimacy supervisor?
In her lawsuits, Lively claims Baldoni performed unplanned and unsanctioned physical affection towards her, without the presence of an intimacy coordinator to guide the scene.
In Baldoni’s legal action against The New York Times, he claims that Lively declined to collaborate with the intimacy consultant to arrange the movie’s intimate scenes.
Last month, Lively claimed in her lawsuit that Baldoni had subjected her to body-shaming, attempted to insert extra sexual scenes into the movie, displayed explicit images and videos to her, broke character by persistently kissing her during filming, and orchestrated a ‘reputation destruction’ campaign against her using social manipulation.
Subsequently, Baldoni alleged that Reynolds had shouted at him during the critical production meeting that took place at their residence.
In the meeting with other producers and a Sony representative, Reynolds is reported to have strongly and forcefully implicated Baldoni in a series of allegations against his wife. These accusations included body-shaming her.
Baldoni described the meeting as a traumatic experience, saying it was unlike any disrespectful conversation he had experienced throughout his lifetime.
Reynolds contests this assertion, with bystanders telling TMZ that although he appeared angry and firm, his actions do not fit the description of shouting.
Baldoni is pursuing a lawsuit against The Times in response to Lively’s lawsuit against him, which alleges sexual harassment, retaliation, contract violation, emotional distress, breach of privacy, and lost income. However, he has refuted these accusations.
Firstly, she lodged a grievance with the California Civil Rights Department on December 21st, and subsequently instigated a federal lawsuit against him on December 31st.
According to informed sources, it is expected that Baldoni will file a lawsuit against Lively in the near future.
As a result of the dueling lawsuits, Blake and Ryan will be skipping the Golden Globes on Sunday.
