Fans are all saying the same thing about Taylor Swift’s handwritten note to Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy
As an ardent Swiftie of over two decades, I must admit that this recent controversy over Taylor Swift’s handwriting has left me utterly bewildered. Having followed her meteoric rise to fame since the tender age of 16, I’ve grown accustomed to appreciating her artistic prowess in music and lyrics, not her penmanship.
The authenticity of Taylor Swift’s writing came under scrutiny following the posting of a handwritten note supposedly from her, which Dave Portnoy (founder of Barstool Sports) shared on Saturday.
34-year-old singer-songwriter performed at the lucrative Eras Tour in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, and Portnoy, who is 47 years old, was one of the spectators present.
Through the Instagram account for his podcast (@bffspod), Portnoy posted a picture of Taylor Swift’s letter that she had intended for her brother Austin Swift to give to him.
The letter, delivered by Swift’s sibling, included a green seal with the number 13 inscribed.
Fans were drawn to a personal message penned by Swift, admiring both the meaning and presentation. One fan even commented, ‘Her signature is quite unique, isn’t it?’ in a lighthearted manner.

Critics also offered remarks about Swift’s writing, such as: “This is fantastic, yet it seems her handwriting isn’t great;” “Her signature wasn’t what I anticipated;” and “I never thought anyone could have worse handwriting than me until I saw this.
One person commented that it appears as though a six-year-old penned the entire piece, but a supporter of Swift countered by pointing out her substantial wealth.
The fan commented, “It’s like a 6-year-old has signed off on a $1.6 billion deal,” expressing congratulations to Dave and gratitude for his unwavering support of Taylor Swift and always standing up for mothers.
