Fan-favourite James Bond villain makes surprise return in “thrilling” new project
In an exciting upcoming venture, Mads Mikkelsen is set to return to the character he played as a beloved antagonist in the James Bond universe.
2006 saw the actor play the ominous character, Le Chiffre, opposite Daniel Craig, in the film “Casino Royale”. This movie depicted the MI6 agent engaged in a tense poker game aimed at dismantling a significant terrorist group.
Approximately twenty years after the critically praised action movie, Mikkelsen is set to once again embody the renowned antagonist in the video game “Hitman: World of Assassination”. The character will be accessible as part of the Elusive Target add-on.

Mikkelsen expressed his appreciation for Le Chiffre, stating that he finds the character to be cunning, icy, and merciless. The integration of this character within the universe of “Hitman” promises an exciting partnership.

In the plot summary, Mads Mikkelsen reprises his role as Le Chiffre, a renowned private banker to the criminal underworld, famed for his skill in games of luck and numbers. A recent financial flop has left him in a tough spot, with significant losses from both legal and illegal funds.
To save himself, he’s organizing a risky poker tournament at the Monarchique Casino in Paris. It’s Agent 47’s job to sneak into this dangerous gathering, navigate through it, and locate his target to stop potential global chaos.
Until the 6th of July, the mission known as “The Elusive Banker Target” has been made available, following the release of the trailer for IO Interactive’s forthcoming action-adventure game titled “007 First Light“. This new game offers an original tale within the James Bond series.
