Blue Bloods‘ Sean Reagan has been recast for the upcoming spin-off series Boston Blue.
For 14 seasons of the police drama, Andrew Terraciano portrayed the role of Sean, who was the son of Daniel and Linda Reagan (Characters Daniel and Linda Rose Reagan).
In a twist of events, Sean will make his debut in the initial offshoot of the series that concluded last year. However, Terraciano won’t reprise his character and has instead been replaced by another actor.
Instead, Mika Amonsen, best known for starring in horror film Thanksgiving, will take on the role.
Boston Blue will follow Danny as he moves from the NYPD to a new position in the Boston Police.

According to CBS Boston Blue, Sean is moving to Boston to embark on a fresh phase of his career as a Boston Police Department patrolman. He is determined to continue his family’s legacy, but he chose to do so independently by joining a department outside of his hometown.
By choosing to remain in Boston, Danny presents an opportunity for a more profound bonding experience between him and his father.
Donnie Wahlberg will reprise his character as Danny Reagan, Sean’s father, in the upcoming series, along with Sonequa Martin-Green, Gloria Reuben, Ernie Hudson, Maggie Lawson, and Marcus Scribner. They are all joining Wahlberg and Amonsen in the cast.
It is currently unknown whether any other original cast members or characters will be returning.

Discussing the finale of Blue Bloods, Wahlberg shared his feelings about shooting the moving closing scenes in a chat with Entertainment Weekly.
That particular morning, I arrived to find many more team members observing than was typical. Normally, there’s quite a crowd, everyone tends to gather for rehearsals, and occasionally we might offer some light commentary,” he explained.
I can express enthusiasm by saying, ‘Today is going to be fantastic!’ This statement will likely boost spirits and create a lively atmosphere. We may spontaneously come up with jokes or humorous remarks to bring some levity into the conversation.
Today, it seemed like everyone was determinedly holding on, making an effort to remain mindful and focused on their tasks, ensuring they were done correctly. At the same time, they were careful not to be overwhelmed by the emotions surrounding the situation.
