The actor who plays a popular Marvel character says that character won’t be in the upcoming movie, Avengers: Doomsday.
What fan-favorite MCU star won’t be in Avengers: Doomsday?
During an interview with Brandon Davis at New York Comic Con, Charlie Cox, the star of Daredevil: Born Again, reiterated that he won’t be in the upcoming Avengers movie, despite recent speculation. He explained that he’s currently concentrating all his efforts on his work in the Daredevil universe.
When asked about potentially appearing in the film, Cox stated he’s currently focused on a different project. He previously dismissed the idea earlier this year, and it now appears he’s genuinely committed to not being involved, despite initial speculation that he might be downplaying his interest.
Even though Bruce Cox won’t appear in the new Avengers: Doomsday film, the movie will still feature a huge cast. Several well-known actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe have already been confirmed, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
The movie will also feature appearances by Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
The next X-Men movie will feature the return of several familiar faces, including Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18, 2026.
