Famous Actress Was an NFL Cheerleader and Won a Super Bowl Ring

This actress initially made her mark in the entertainment world by being a cheerleader for one of the most victorious NFL teams, launching her career on the football field.

She made an authentic and impressive cameo on Seinfeld, and was also a main character in a well-liked 90s show based on a superhero. This stunning lady with brown eyes gained fame for her roles as a Bond girl and in one of the most memorable television series from the early 2000s.

Her costars have been Eva Longoria and Sylvester Stallone. 

Since then, she has become a popular leading lady in holiday season rom-coms. 

Who is this actress, who looks as youthful today as 25 years ago?

She is Teri Hatcher. 

As a California-raised lifestyle enthusiast with a dance background rooted in ballet, I found myself channeling that training in an unexpected way back in 1984 – by becoming a cheerleader for the esteemed San Francisco 49ers football team.

She eventually received a Super Bowl ring for her efforts.

Approximately ten years passed since Steve Young, the ex-quarterback, made a guest appearance on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993), and it was then that he brought her into contact with the team’s proprietor for the first time.

In a sit-down with The Talk back in January 2024, she shared that her ring holds a special place among her cherished collection of jewelry.

She shared with the hosts, “To tell you the truth, this ring only fits comfortably on my wedding ring finger now. Since I’m currently unattached, I guess you could say I’m in a committed relationship with the NFL.

‘It was a great journey,’ she said of her experience.

Back when I was working on “Lois and Clark,” I was fortunate enough to forge friendships with the very people who owned the team! It’s a dream come true, truly an unforgettable experience!

I developed friendships with those individuals, and when they triumphed in the 1994 Super Bowl held in Miami, they graciously extended invitations to my family and myself. As a token of their victory, they presented me with this ring, which made it an even sweeter experience for me.

Despite being occupied with several assignments, the actress has disclosed that much like other women her age, she belongs to the ‘sandwich generation,’ which means she’s caring for both her children and aging parents.

Following the successful upbringing of her daughter, Emmerson (aged 28), who she co-parents with ex-spouse Jon Tenney (age 63), Hatcher is additionally devoting time to caring for her aging parents.

She shared with First for Women in their December issue that her father suffers from dementia, and both her parents are 89 years old. As the only child, she is responsible for their care, which consumes a significant amount of her time.

As the radiant Californian landscape matures, her emphasis shifts towards enhancing the quality of her existence.

I’m interested in discovering the optimal advantage for myself. It appears that focusing on appreciating each day and finding joy in it, along with mindful, responsible, and accountable actions that promote longevity, might be most beneficial for me. However, I can’t speak for others as everyone may have different experiences.

The WondLA voice actress said she is looking forward to more adventures in the future. 

She shared that she’s less concerned about her appearance in the ’60s, but what truly matters to her is being able to conquer an 8-mile hike up a mountain, which is something she has accomplished before.

I’ve scaled Machu Picchu and completed a 60-mile trek along the southern coast of Cornwall, England. These experiences bring me immense pleasure, and I aspire to continue having such adventures even when I reach the ages of 70 or 80.
