Fallout continues over Maddy and Charlotte’s secret past on The Block as Haydn clashes with the pair over ‘lying about their background’
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I find myself deeply intrigued by the recent turn of events on The Block. The revelation that Maddy and Charlotte have previous renovation experience, despite claiming to be accountants, has certainly shaken things up.
The aftermath of disclosures about a team on The Block having prior renovation skills persists.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t hide my excitement when I discovered that Maddy and Charlotte, fresh additions to the cast following the dramatic exit of Jesse and Paige, were recently unveiled thanks to some clever sleuthing by Haydn’s remarkable wife, Chelsea!
In the promotional video for a construction firm, it’s revealed that the duo have been secretly house-flipping instead of being accountants, which was what they claimed to be among their colleagues on The Block.
And on Sunday’s episode, Haydn decided to grill the two young women about the footage.
‘I was watching videos of you girls last night,’ he said.
‘I don’t know how they found that. How did they put two and two together,’ they said.
Haydn then asked if the girls were the ambassadors for the company, to which they answered no.
‘Yeah I think they danced around it a bit,’ Haydn told producers later.
It seems they’ve falsified information about their origins, their past experiences, and possibly other aspects as well.
The Blockheads last week responded to the revelations.
In an interview with TV Week, some of the competitors openly criticized their fellow contestants, expressing feelings of betrayal.
Haydn stated emphatically, “They were completely dishonest! They claimed to be accountants, but they failed to disclose that they also flip houses.
‘They asked for advice on how to do things within a build, yet they obviously knew it all.’
As a devoted admirer, I stumbled upon a captivating video featuring Maddy and Charlotte on Google, and my creative partner Ricky couldn’t help but share the sentiment that these talented Sydney sisters seemed to hold an edge that wasn’t entirely fair.
The plumber, aged 34, shared that he and his partner, H, haven’t collaborated on flipping houses before. He noted that it typically requires several weeks to understand one another’s skills when it comes to home renovation.
In spite of the criticism they faced, the sisters remained firm in their decision to keep their previous experiences private.
Maddy, aged 25, stated that we haven’t deceived anyone. If someone had inquired about our background, we would have disclosed it, but no one did. It wasn’t our responsibility to divulge all the details.
