As a seasoned Vault-dweller with countless hours under my belt in Appalachia, I can’t help but feel a thrill when it comes to launching nukes in Fallout 76. The weekly chase for those elusive Nuke Codes is as much a part of the game as scavenging for caps and looting abandoned settlements.

Fallout 76 Nuke Codes This Week (2024)

In the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 76, before unleashing a devastating nuclear strike, I’ve got to wrap up the main storyline quest titled “I Am Become Death.” This mission serves as my tutorial on how to launch a nuke. Once this mission is under my belt, I can detonate a Nuke anytime I wish, provided I have the necessary materials at hand.

Here’s how to launch a nuke in Fallout 76:

  1. Get a Nuclear Keycard for one of the three Silos
    • To do so: Start the Nuclear Keycard Escort mission from the Surveillance System Terminal in the Whitesprings Bunker
  2. Go to nuclear silo Alpha, Bravo, or Charlie
  3. Enter the appropriate Nuke Code into the Nuclear Terminal
  4. Pick an area to drop the Nuke
