In the Lower Bracket Round 3 of The International 2024, BetBoom and Falcons squared off against each other. If either team lost, they’d be eliminated from the tournament, while the victor advanced to compete in the LB Quarterfinals. Essentially, it was a win-or-go-home matchup, with both teams giving their all to secure a victory.

Game 1

In the initial match, the Falcons clearly outshone their opponents, exhibiting control from the very start. They executed their strategy flawlessly, making the game a breeze for them. The Falcons chose Lina, Underlord, and Sand King, giving their team an impressive tank-like quality. With OmniKnight on Sneyking, they appeared virtually indestructible.

In the game, Marine skillfully navigated through the hordes of enemies using Sandstorm as a shield, ensuring survival in the delicate stages. The Sand King concluded the match with an impressive 13-0 victory, masterfully farming resources and outsmarting his adversaries.

In summary, the initial match didn’t provide much material for discussion. The Falcons dominated significantly, as BetBoom struggled to establish any rhythm or momentum throughout the game.

Game 2

In the second match, BetBoom selected Medusa and Doom, while their team fielded Snapfire, Storm, and Elder Titan – characters known for prolonging games. Simultaneously, Falcons opted for a composition capable of overwhelming BetBoom before Medusa becomes effective. Over time, Medusa has undergone numerous adjustments.

The coach of the team confessed that the draft was somewhat selfish, but he had faith that the chosen lineup would suit the players’ skills best. The Falcons began with an explosive momentum, mirroring their performance in Game 1. However, it soon became clear that this game would primarily feature BB’s Medusa against almost the entire opposing team.

In the match against BB’s Medusa, DK’s Dragon form and the team’s BKBs significantly boosted their performance. Meanwhile, the Falcons recognized that their late game was still competitive with BetBoom, even with a Medusa on the opposing team. This was partly because Medusa is no longer the powerful super-carry in the very late stages of the game as she once was.

Nevertheless, a pivotal team clash significantly shifted the game’s momentum. When BetBoom successfully fended off their adversaries, they capitalized on their success by claiming one victory after another.

Whenever Doom targeted a hero for defeat, it was always Centaur who’d employ his cart to rescue his fellow team member. Smartly utilizing the Centaur cart served as an ideal means for disengagement.

Ultimately, the Razor displayed great courage in a nearly 1 vs 5 situation, forcing BetBoom into retreat. However, the Medusa found herself out of position, losing all her energy swiftly, which led to her demise.

In the end, Falcons won 2-0 to move on in the competition. BetBoom were eliminated from the event.
