Falcon Esports Coach Ar Sy’s Emotional Plea: ‘Please Bring Back MPL Myanmar’ After MLBB M6 World Championship Elimination

As a gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the Mobile Legends M6 World Championship has been an emotional rollercoaster. The speech delivered by Falcon Esports’ coach Ar Sy was truly heartfelt and touched on a personal note for many of us who have seen the potential of Myanmar in esports.

Today at the ongoing MLBB M6 World Championship 2024 finals in Malaysia, Falcon Esports’ coach Rodel “Ar Sy” B.Cruz delivered a heartfelt speech. Moved by the sacrifices of his team, he passionately appealed to the authorities for the return of the Myanmar Pro League (MPL Myanmar).

Today, Falcon Esports suffered a 1-3 loss in their lower bracket quarterfinal against Team Spirit. Following the disappointing outcome, their coach gave a heartfelt talk, addressing the hardships in Myanmar currently and expressing that the team had to forgo an official event due to unavoidable reasons.

Myanmar has a big potential in MLBB esports, the coach said after Falcon Esports lost in the M6

At a recent press event, GamingonPhone posed some queries regarding the coach’s perspective on MLBB Esports within Myanmar. Moved by the passion and dedication of players, spectators, and esports community members in the nation, the coach encourages MOONTON to revive the MPL (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League) in Myanmar, even amidst ongoing civil unrest.

Later on, he expressed his insights regarding the overall esports setup in the nation and potential growth of MLBB across various regions. When we had an opportunity to pose some queries, we asked him about his personal experience given his Filipino background. He replied, “Clearly, there’s immense potential in Myanmar, particularly with M2. The Burmese server has proven it’s no walk in the park; even ONIC PH gives us a tough competition. What’s more, all players exhibit great enthusiasm and have a deep affection for this game.

As our conversation progressed, we inquired about his views on why MPL Myanmar hasn’t returned. He thinks it might be due to the government. Additionally, he wanted to delve deeper into this matter and showed interest by depicting a hypothetical scenario if the game resumes next season. Excitedly, he shared, “This would be thrilling! There are numerous teams and players who truly deserve MPL. They’re eager to showcase their skills. It’s not just about Burmese Ghouls or Falcon; there are many other talented teams as well“.

Burmese teams will be more competitive in the next season, and will through strong challenges against others

Additionally, we inquired about Ar Sy’s views on the competitive landscape in Myanmar, particularly regarding the upcoming season of the World Championship, M7, for his team. He chuckled and indicated that he anticipates it will be challenging to surpass their rivals in the competition.

Bang Bang Esports is growing, with larger tournaments and prizes,” is one way to paraphrase this sentence.

MLBB esports should scout in other regions like North America and China

We asked about the dependence or if there’s any because the absence of MPL Myanmar affects the esports ecosystem. He said some important things in answer. “I don’t know. Maybe it’s half the people feel like it’s unfair to not have an MPL. Again, some may think it doesn’t have much potential. So, I asked again and again to scout in more regions like North America, China, etc.”

Burmese teams are good against global leaders, but MPL Myanmar has still been at a halt since 2020

The most recent MPL event in Myanmar happened back in 2016, with the latest installment failing to occur last year. Over five instances, it has been held previously. Myanmar boasts a rich history within the M series, as evidenced by Burmese Ghouls reaching runner-up position during the second Mobile Legends M2 World Championship in 2014.

For a while now, Burmese squads have been delivering strong showings at the World Championship tournaments. Both the Falcons and Ghouls have managed to secure notable positions within the championship throughout their careers. Notably, the M2 tournament saw one of them as runner-up, and on multiple occasions, they’ve finished in the top 6.

Bang Bang Esports scene. Other countries struggle to compete with their prowess, but Myanmar stands out as one of the exceptions. It’s only hoped that the game will address these matters soon.
