A video was also included, emphasizing that the PUGs are being conducted during a beta phase.

It’s not fresh news that there’s a Competitive Overwatch 2 playtest on FACEIT, as they announced Pick-Up Games (PUGs) in November 2024. Moreover, it was reported by OWCavalry on X that FACEIT provided early access to a ranked queue for 200 players this month. Now, more people who weren’t part of that group have an opportunity to participate in the esports scene.

How to join the Overwatch 2 PUGs beta

If you’re eager to join the beta testing, first navigate to the specific FACEIT website for it. Then, hit the “Join the beta waitlist” button and link your FACEIT account with your Battle.net one. To initiate the process, just click on the “Connect Blizzard” button.

Once you’ve completed a few basic steps, go ahead and click the “Allow” button to connect your accounts. You will receive a confirmation message saying, “Your game has been successfully registered on FACEIT.” on the platform.

The following action involves waiting until the next round of beta access becomes available. As mentioned by FACEIT, your likelihood of gaining entry into the beta increases as you share more unique links inviting other players to join.

What to expect in FACEIT Overwatch 2 PUGs

As a fan, I’m excited about the freedom to choose my teammates for the Overwatch 2 matches! Plus, it’s great that we can ban heroes and select maps before the game begins. The Elo system and FACEIT Pro League (FPL) are also in play, adding an extra layer of competition.
