Explosive Fight & Rehab Stint: Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright’s Toxic Showdown

On the latest episode of Bravo’s spinoff series “Vanderpump Rules: The Valley,” Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor had a heated argument before Jax was due to begin his 30-day rehabilitation program.

36-year-old television personality and 45-year-old bar owner had a disagreement following an alleged incident where another woman spent the night at their joint home.

While Taylor was gathering his things for treatment, Cartwright cautioned her former partner against kissing their four-year-old son Cruz on the face due to the fact that she had a rather unsavory female companion the previous night.

‘I don’t know if you took a shower,’ she said.

Taylor was furious when he made the casual comment, leading her to overturn a table in their argument. During this heated moment, she couldn’t help but be shocked at how much he had changed and no longer resembled the person she once knew.

The careless comment enraged Taylor so much that she flipped a table during their disagreement, marveling at how different he seemed now, someone she hardly recognized.

Both versions convey the same meaning while maintaining a natural and easy-to-read style.

If you had been as unhappy, you could have departed long before now. I will never be able to forgive you for what you’ve done. Not ever,’ Taylor retorted sharply.

If you felt that miserable, you should have quit years ago. I can never find it in my heart to forgive you for this. Never,’ Taylor snapped back.

Last year, Taylor, who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder, gently reminded Cartwright about the times he asked her to “keep in touch” and “inquire about his wellbeing”.

Cartwright responded sharply, “You spooked and hurt me.” Look, we both need help here, especially for our son. Let’s make sure he doesn’t turn out like you.

Taylor emphatically maintained that his decision to go to rehab was driven by the worry that Cartwright might take Cruz away from him.

‘If I have to do this so she won’t do that, then I’m gonna do it,’ he said.

Throughout the episode, Cartwright warned him that should he fail to remain for the entire 30-day period, she would promptly seek both ‘full guardianship’ and a ‘protective order’.

In a passionate tone, I couldn’t help but express my concern: “Listen, mate, you’ve got to understand the gravity of your actions. You’re heading towards a career crisis, and it’s not a joke. Frankly, it seems like you’ve lost touch with reality. You’re behaving recklessly, and I can’t help but worry about your mental health. Your antics in town, drinking, drug use, and associating with questionable characters, it’s all adding up to a dangerous picture.

Cartwright went on to call out her ex’s addiction issues on camera for the first time.

She told Jax, “It seems like you’re dealing with a dependency issue, and I think it’s important that you’re truthful with your doctor about this.” Or alternatively, “Jax, it appears you struggle with cocaine abuse. It’s something many people are aware of. I encourage you to be open and honest with your doctor about it.

In her personal reflection, Cartwright admitted that she was attempting to aid Taylor, who she felt was losing control over her life.

She remarked, “His condition has deteriorated. I’m not certain if he’s hit the absolute lowest point yet, but he’s very close. Cruz and I both merit better, and I simply can’t endure any longer. I’ve put in so much effort.

After the episode aired, fans praised Cartwright for taking her ‘power back.’

‘She snatched her power with that scene right there good for her,’ one wrote.

Another said: ‘This was the moment Brittany took her power back.’

‘I totally feel for Brittany. You can’t love the pain out of an addict,’ a third concluded.

On August 27, Cartwright filed for divorce, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’

The former couple were married for five years, welcoming son Cruz in 2021.

She cited their date of separation as January 24.

According to a source from People, the ex-spouse perceived that the decision to seek a divorce was long overdue. They claimed that she felt it necessary to take this step for her own wellbeing and that of their child.

The single mother, seeking to break free from a chaotic pattern, made this decision, as confirmed by an inside source.

The source mentioned: ‘A great deal has happened in the last few months that she couldn’t ignore or forget.’

The source mentioned that the choice wasn’t taken casually, rather, she is firmly convinced that it was the appropriate move.

In simpler terms, we could say that the beginning of their romantic relationship was documented in the Bravo show Vanderpump Rules, while the disintegration of their marriage was shown in the spin-off series, The Valley. Moreover, Cartwright shared that she and her son Cruz had left their shared home.

Brittany mentioned that she and Jax had been facing troubles for quite some time, and these problems persisted even after the summer. However, as soon as the filming ended, it felt like their issues kept escalating and escalating.

Approximately six weeks back, I parted ways with Jax. Since then, I’ve been staying at an Airbnb with Cruz, as Jax refused to vacate the house, according to her statement during the final episode.

In simpler terms, Brittany implied that Jax’s unwillingness to leave demonstrated a self-centered attitude. Alternatively, Brittany stated her decision to move away with their child was due to an unhealthy and harmful environment at home.

Brittany remarked, “That’s when I began to realize all the things he had done to me. It was as if a huge weight suddenly fell on me.

During their romantic involvement, Brittany asserted that Jax had been unfaithful, showed disregard for her feelings, and embarrassed her repeatedly.

Brittany expressed, “I’ve endured a great deal of suffering in this relationship, and now I simply can’t handle it any longer.
