Okay, so things are really blowing up for me as an actor right now – I’m playing He-Man in the new Masters of the Universe movie, which is huge! But honestly, I’ve had a lot of other good stuff happening lately too, so it’s been a pretty awesome week overall.
Did you know the actor is a huge Arsenal fan? He shares that passion with his co-stars Idris Elba (from Masters of the Universe) and Anne Hathaway (The Idea of You). He’s such a dedicated fan that he wakes up early in Los Angeles to watch Arsenal games live, and even appeared in a promotional video before their big match against Real Madrid last year.
As a lifelong Arsenal supporter, I can tell you this season was absolutely incredible! After 22 long years, we finally won the Premier League! Seriously, it was a feeling I’d been waiting for forever. It was so epic, it honestly felt like that moment in He-Man when he raises the Sword of Power and shouts, “By the power of Grayskull, I have the power!” That’s how huge it was for fans like me and a friend of mine, Galitzine, who’s just as thrilled as I am.
It was incredibly close, almost shockingly so. Prince Galitzine said he felt truly empowered in multiple ways. He hadn’t considered it before, but he described the feeling as balanced. He shared this with Digital Spy at the UK premiere of Masters of the Universe.

Playing He-Man was a perfect role for Galitzine, and it was especially exciting because it happened right when his favorite soccer team, Arsenal, won the championship.
What to Read Next
I’d auditioned for many superhero roles over the years, but I never truly felt a strong connection to the characters. This role was different – I really wanted it, and I know a lot of the other actors felt the same way.
Despite how challenging it was, making this movie was a truly wonderful experience. We all enjoyed working together, which is rare for a film of this size, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of it.

While fans wonder if Dimitri Palitzine might play He-Man again, he’ll first be appearing as Prince Henry in Red, White & Royal Wedding. This is the first time he’s revisited a previous character.
Filming the sequel was a really heartwarming experience. It was special to revisit the characters and see everyone again, both old and new – I was especially excited to work with Lena Headey, who I’ve always admired, as she played my mother. It was just a genuinely lovely time.
Hopefully the future will also see the actor be able to celebrate many more Arsenal title wins.
Masters of the Universe is released in UK cinemas on 3 June.
