Exclusive: Meghann Fahy praises “powerful” first-time experience on new thriller Drop
It’s possible that Meghann Fahy has gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Daphne in “The White Lotus” season two, yet there could be a potential shift towards the action genre as suggested by her upcoming role in the new thriller titled “Drop“.
Under the direction of Christopher Landon, the film features Fahy as character Violet who experiences a horrific date with Henry, portrayed by Brandon Sklenar. A mysterious figure makes a chilling demand: if Violet does not murder Henry, they will harm her son.
In most parts, the movie “Drop” takes place within a restaurant, but it was also where Fahy had her initial taste of stunts. Far from deterring her, this exhilarating experience didn’t scare her at all.

As a passionate admirer, I can’t hide my eagerness for more experiences like that one. It was truly captivating! The physical expression of the narrative made me feel invigorated and empowered, using my body in such a way. To put it simply, I’m all in for additional opportunities to engage in this engaging activity. So, yes, count me in!
Later, Sklenar proposed a possible new action character for his fellow actor: “Similar to John Wick… Jane Wick.
The idea behind Drop is so vivid that it’s effortless to envision a response if one found oneself in a similar situation.
However, Fahy doesn’t think she’d cope anywhere near as well as Violet does.
As a fan, I can’t help but imagine a world where everyone, including myself and Brandon, is no more. The thought of it sends chills down my spine. To be honest, I don’t think I would have had the vision to foresee such an event. It’s truly mind-boggling to ponder upon. That’s what she noted, expressing a sentiment shared by many.
In this movie, Violet truly impresses me with her quick thinking and intelligence – it’s one of the reasons I adore her character. Her ability to react swiftly and adapt in various situations is simply remarkable.
Speaking candidly, if I had to choose between someone I’ve just met and my own child, I’d be forced to take action that would put the other person in harm’s way.
Drop is released in cinemas on April 11.
