Exceptional X-Men and the 5 best comic books of the week

As a seasoned gamer of comic books, I can confidently say that this week has been nothing short of exceptional. The sheer volume of quality content is overwhelming, but alas, only five can make the cut. Alas, the likes of Daredevil, Immortal Thor, and Plastic Man didn’t quite make it this time around. They were good, but they couldn’t compete with the absolute gems that graced our presence this week.

This week’s comic book lineup is nothing short of spectacular, and although titles like Daredevil #13, Immortal Thor #15, and Plastic Man No More! were quite engaging, it’s the next five releases that truly captivated my attention. They left an indelible mark on me, stealing the show in a way that only the best can do.

Keeping that thought in our heads, let’s delve right into the most exciting highlights of the current week! We’ll kick things off by checking out the top comic book release for this week that you absolutely shouldn’t miss.

Exceptional X-Men No. 1

  • Writer: Eve Ewing
  • Artist: Carmen Carnero

This week, consider purchasing “Exceptional X-Men” Issue 1. This comic book offers a glimpse into the life of an X-Man, focusing on Kitty Pryde who has been part of this team for so long that she can’t imagine anything else. As she attempts to move past her X-Man days, she grapples with post-traumatic stress, anxiety, and tension.

In the second stage, we witness another phase of Kitty’s development. Unlike any other comic book character, she has advanced remarkably swiftly. Don’t forget to catch the upcoming chapter in her journey, as it unfolds with the involvement of her close friend, Emma Frost.

Ultimates No. 4

  • Writer: Deniz Camp
  • Artist: Phil Noto

Deniz Camp’s anticipation for the latest “Ultimates” issue built up over weeks, and it certainly lived up to the buzz. Readers get a glimpse into Reed Richards’ past, a journey that transitions from joyful to sorrowful. This comic doesn’t just reveal what befell the Fantastic Four; it shows how Reed transforms into Doctor Doom. Both narratives are deeply moving and will undoubtedly intensify your disdain for The Maker even further. If you aren’t emotionally prepared, I’d advise steering clear of this issue.

Scarlett No. 4

  • Writer: Kelly Thompson
  • Artist: Marco Ferrari

Issue #4 of Scarlett in the Energon Universe series delivers yet another captivating tale within its pages. Filled with thrilling sequences, heartwarming instances, and a multitude of action, it’s a must-read for any fan. A particularly notable moment occurs when our heroine, Scarlett, encounters Cobra for the first time.

In the beginning, before G.I. Joe made its appearance, things were different. The upcoming issue hints at the emergence of Cobra Commander. Don’t forget to check it out!

Batman No.152

  • Writers: Chip Zdarsky and Kelly Thompson
  • Artist: Mike Hawthorne

In the spin-off of “Absolute Power,” this matter featured the two most significant unveilings. Initially, Batman and Catwoman acquired the Motherbox that Amanda Waller utilized as an energy source. This acquisition marked a crucial stride leading to events unfolding in “Absolute Power” issue No. 3.

2. Crucially, revealing the location of the Motherbox to Darkseid was a significant move. It’s rare to see Batman show fear, but when Darkseid emerged, he was indeed terrified. However, upon their escape, with Darkseid sporting a smirk, Bruce noted that if Darkseid had intended them harm, they would not have survived.

Darkseid’s comeback marks the beginning of DC Comics’ grand scheme, titled All In and the Absolute Universe. Keep an eye on TopMob for further updates!

Absolute Power No. 3

  • Writer: Mark Waid
  • Artist: Dan Mora

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but express my excitement about the near-final issue of Absolute Power. The superheroes are slowly uniting, but Amanda Waller continues to hold the reins with an iron grip. Nightwing is steering the ship admirably, growing stronger as a hero with each passing moment. Yet, it seems that this battle isn’t about to end just yet.

As the climax of “Absolute Power” approaches, expect a series of intertwining developments, leading to intense and sorrowful outcomes. In the world of DC Comics, finales are rarely peaceful; someone significant may meet their end or vanish, and TopMob will keep you updated on any such occurrences.
