Robert Stavrides, the former head of Chanel Korea, has sold his luxurious, resort-style home on Australia’s Gold Coast for $5 million.
I’ve been following the Gold Coast property market for years, and it’s fascinating to see how values have shifted! Back in 2014, a businessman and his wife, Sarina, invested in a beautiful four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the sought-after Paradise Waters area. They paid $2.153 million for it at the time – a really solid investment in a prime location.
This house, located directly on the Nerang River, boasts high ceilings, a swimming pool, and a covered outdoor entertainment area.
According to the Gold Coast Bulletin, Stavrides, the former head of Chanel Korea after serving for fifteen years, intends to remain in Paradise Waters.
Okay, so I’ve been tracking everything about him, and you won’t BELIEVE this! I just checked the property records, and he’s actually building a mansion! A MANSION! He bought the land way back in 2021 for almost $4 million – $3.96 million, to be exact – and it’s right near here. I can’t wait to see it go up, I’m practically stalking the construction site already!
Information about who bought his previous home hasn’t been made public, but the property is now listed as ‘under contract,’ meaning a sale is pending.

Boasting 23 metres of water frontage, the expansive pad has its own private sandy beach.
Offering stunning river views, residents have access to the water via a floating pontoon.
The main bedroom is a standout feature, taking up a whole corner of the house and flowing seamlessly onto an outdoor dining area and the patio by the pool.
It also features a walk-in wardrobe and a lavishly appointed en suite.
The home, designed by an architect, also includes elegant details like French windows and flooring imported from Italy.
The home features a private dining room and a large kitchen with both a breakfast bar and a separate area for dining.
Other highlights include a private study and a beautiful, secluded garden.
Stavrides and his wife, who used to live in Sydney, shared in 2021 that they were moving to the Gold Coast to be closer to their family.

The couple were previously located in ritzy Point Piper, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The owners have put their stunning garden apartment in the Kilmory estate on the market for between $12 and $13 million, as they prepare to move to Florida.
I’m so excited to share that I finally closed on a gorgeous three-bedroom apartment in a beautiful heritage building back in May 2021. It was a significant investment – around $11.8 million – but completely worth it for the space and character!
The buyers were reportedly finance guru David Cobcroft and his wife, Anne.
I’ve been following Cobcroft’s work for a while now, and I know he’s currently leading the charge at both Alukea Commodities and the Parraweena Highlands Cattle Company as their Managing Director. He’s really making a name for himself in the commodities and cattle industries!
