Everything you need to know about the Dual Nova patch theme in Wild Rift
6.1 update for Wild Rift introduces thrilling modifications, such as the brand-new Dual Nova feature. Don’t miss out on all the particulars.
The title for the next update in League of Legends: Wild Rift is “Dual Nova”. This update brings a cosmic transformation to the game’s icons, as well as new missions that offer rewards upon completion. During this patch, various Dual Nova-themed events will encourage you to reach even greater heights and let your inner star shine brightly. Let’s delve deeper into the details.
What is the “Dual Nova” in Wild Rift?
Over the past few months, I’ve noticed that Wild Rift has been tailoring the gameplay to match each patch’s theme, similar to how they approached the Shadow Isles update in 5.1. Moving forward, it seems like the developers are committed to keeping our gaming experience fresh and varied.
In the Wild Rift update 6.1, you’ll journey through galaxies at your leisure and delve into the cosmos as you please. The fresh progression system is designed to appreciate and recognize those who are creative and enjoy a lighter, more entertaining experience. If you’re keen on advancing in ranked matches or simply prefer the quirky side of game modes, you’ll be duly rewarded.
Dual Nova Stars in Wild Rift
As soon as you sign in, you’ll be transported into a sprawling, starlit universe brimming with fresh explorations. In this celestial realm, two stars are bound to capture your attention: the vibrant Challenger’s Star and the radiant Adventure’s Star.
Initially, Adventure’s Star appears less radiant than Challenger’s Star because they share a strong bond. But as you advance, Adventure’s Star will grow increasingly luminous.
By week five, it will fully bloom and showcase all its potential, signifying its completion. The six symbols encircling the stars represent six significant updates that are part of patch 6.1.
- Reward Constellation
- Legendary Constellation
- Guardian Constellation
- Medal Constellation
- Glory Constellation
- Rune Constellation
Challenger’s Star
The Starlight Challenger has made its appearance, shining brightly with cosmic splendor! In Update 6.1, it acts as the entrance to Challenge Mode, allowing you effortless access to Ranked matches, Legendary Ranked matches, and standard Player versus Player fights – all at your fingertips with just one click.
Before Patch 6.1, each mode had its own distinct seasons and goals. However, with the update, Wild Rift has merged these two modes together. Now, your Champion Score will reflect your commitment and advancement across both modes, making it simpler than ever to collect seasonal skins and rewards.
For those initial mountaineers or game enthusiasts who have conquered numerous champions and wish to challenge themselves at the Legendary Ranked level, there are additional perks waiting: The Legendary Queue is undergoing a minor cosmic transformation as well, featuring new tier labels, artwork, and special events.
In simpler terms, Wild Rift is introducing Star Rank Cards to keep the game mode engaging for competitive players while reducing some of the pressure. Moreover, changes are being made to the Legendary Rank to make it more satisfying and worthwhile.
Initially, we’re making changes to the Legendary Ranked tiers for improved clarity in tracking your progress as you compete with top-tier players. Additionally, we’re modifying the Champion Score system to reward you slightly more when participating in Legendary Ranked matches.
Season Ranked Reward System
At last, your feedback has been taken into account. Following numerous concerns about the complex season-based reward system, some adjustments are on the horizon. Riot Games is planning to scrap the current system and replace it with a new reward path specifically designed for the Challenger’s Star in Ranked and Legendary Ranked modes instead.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that we’re introducing two fresh reward systems! One is a weekly track, meaning there’ll be new rewards every seven days. The other one is seasonal, offering unique prizes tied to each gaming season. Before diving into a match, you can easily check out these tracks to see exactly what you could earn.
The beginning of the Challenger’s Star launch simultaneously initiates a fresh Ranked Season. Those players who ascend to Master rank during this occasion can unlock stunning ranked badges, an exceptional title, and a unique backdrop for their profile card.
Adventure’s Star
Previously, we noted that the Adventure’s Star would arrive with an upcoming patch. Once this star is introduced, it will unveil the last three constellations. Each season, lasting approximately 90 days, offers you opportunities to accomplish tasks and meet objectives adorned with stars in the Adventure Modes.
While engaging in gameplay and contributing, you’ll accumulate Season Points. Additionally, you can gather badges similar to those found in Ranked mode, with recognizable levels like Iron, Bronze, Silver, and so forth. However, it’s important to note that these badges are separate for each mode: achieving Diamond in ARURF won’t grant you a Diamond Badge in Arena. Instead, you must play, progress, and rank up to receive that achievement.
In contrast, every gameplay mode has an equal impact on boosting your Adventure’s Star. Unlike earning distinct rewards per mode, you will now have the ability to monitor your advancement through a unified progress chart.
Ranked badges
In simpler terms, Wild Rift is tweaking certain aspects to make it more satisfying when you earn badges, and these badges will provide an excellent platform for displaying your accomplishments.
As soon as you step into the lobby, a glow from your badge level will appear above your character’s icon, demonstrating your Adventurer’s Star skill to your peers before they even extend an invitation. This badge will also be clearly visible on your health bar within the game, on your profile page, and in your friends list.
For top-tier gamers who amass Challenger badges in various game modes, they’ll receive an exclusive crown and customized title – rewards that reflect the quantity of their Challenger badges.
Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to collect various bonuses simply by lining up and participating, such as unique titles and a fresh new pet! As these updates will transition the older season system for ARAM (All Random All Mid) and Arena, if you’ve taken part in either before, you’ll be eligible for the following rewards:
- 10 Point Bonus Card
- Emote of the badge of the highest rank in ARAM
- Emote of the badge of the highest rank in Arena
New galactic design
As a passionate player, I’m thrilled to share that some game modes, like ARAM, are about to get a cosmic makeover! Galactic elements will infuse these modes with a touch of magic. Moreover, brand new Starry Augments are set to debut in the Arena mode. But
