Everything you need to know about FISSURE Universe Episode 4
FISSURE Universe Episode 4 is on the way, as 16 teams prepare for another epic Dota 2 tournament.
In 2025, we have already seen two spectacular Dota 2 events. DreamLeague Season 25 ended with Team Spirit taking the spoils. While PGL Wallachia Season 3 came to an end more recently with Team Liquid on top. Next on the cards is FISSURE Universe Episode 4, an online tournament that is set to begin in only a few days.
FISSURE Universe Episode 4 teams, format, and prize pool
Starting from March 22nd and wrapping up on the 30th, I’ll be diving headfirst into FISSURE Universe Episode 4! Initially, there will be 16 teams participating in this online event, but after a Swiss-style group stage with some tweaks, we’ll be whittled down to just eight. Following that, it’s a double elimination playoff stage where the teams engage in best-of-three (Bo3) matches to reach the pinnacle. The grand final will be a nail-biting best-of-five (Bo5) showdown, ultimately determining who takes home the champion’s title!
The 16 teams playing in the tournament are:
- BetBoom Team
- Team Liquid
- 1win Team
- One Move
- Wildcard
- M80
- Team Tidebound
- Night Pule
- Gaimin Gladiators
- Boom Esports
- Tundra Esports
- Team Falcons
- Talon Esports
- Team Spirit
- Aurora Gaming
- PARIVISION
With a prize pool of $500,000 on offer and some of the best teams invited and qualified to the tournament, FISSURE Universe is set to be a fantastic event. Year 2025 has already seen two different tournament winners, so it will be interesting to see if the year continues to highlight different teams’ strengths or if we will begin to have a better understanding of the strongest teams sooner rather than later.
While FISSURE Universe is an online event, it is still one of the largest of its kind. Although many of the teams in the tournament have been active during the earlier events, there are quite a few that we will be seeing for the first time in 2025. This means that there is more chance for major upsets and interesting pocket picks in the new meta.
