Everything we know about The Talamasca series coming to AMC's Anne Rice Universe

As a seasoned gamer of the supernatural realm, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming series based on Anne Rice’s legendary work, “The Talamasca.” With my fingers crossed and my heart pounding, I eagerly await the debut of Nicholas Denton as Guy Anatole. His captivating performances in “Dangerous Liaisons” and “Glitch” have already proven his knack for portraying complex characters with a hint of mystery.

The Talamasca made its official debut within Anne Rice’s AMC universe during the initial season of “Mayfair Witches,” and it’s now being developed into a complete series. According to recent reports by The Hollywood Reporter, casting for the show has begun, with Australian actor Nicholas Denton securing the main role. Denton is recognized for his performances in the Starz miniseries “Dangerous Liaisons” and the supernatural drama “Glitch.

As reported by the source, Denton has been cast in the leading role of Guy Anatole, a character who appears to be intelligent, attractive, and witty on the outside. However, it’s suggested that beneath this facade, his mind functions somewhat uniquely.

A student on the verge of completing his law degree is approached by a member from a clandestine organization, known as The Talamasca. This group monitors an array of supernatural creatures living among us, ensuring they don’t cause chaos. The Talamasca has been observing our protagonist since childhood and eventually reveals to him the intricate relationship between this society and the immortal entities shrouded in mystery.

For Guy to survive, he will have to learn to embrace the dark, treacherous depths of his true and singular self.

In the debut season of “Mayfair Witches,” Tongayi Chirisa was cast as Ciprien Grieve, a sensitive individual with empathic abilities who works for the Talamasca and interacts with Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario), a Mayfair witch. As both Ciprien and the Talamasca were crucial to the storyline of season 1, it’s intriguing to ponder if their roles will be expanded upon in this upcoming series or potentially even future seasons of “Mayfair Witches.

The Talamasca series is expected to kick off its first season consisting of six episodes, set to begin filming in Manchester, England around October. It’s scheduled to air in 2025. Additionally, the second season of Mayfair Witches is planned for a release in early 2025 as well.

As of now, there’s no confirmed release date for the third season of “Interview with the Vampire,” but we can expect it to be based on the events depicted in “The Vampire Lestat,” which is the third book in Anne Rice’s “Vampire Chronicles” series.
