Get ready for more laughs and medical mishaps! After nearly 16 years, Scrubs is returning with Season 10. This beloved sitcom, which originally aired on NBC and later on AMC, follows the lives of doctors and their interns as they navigate their careers and personal lives in a California hospital.
Even now, many people love the sitcom Scrubs for its funny moments, heartfelt stories, well-developed plots, and characters you won’t forget. The show is also praised for getting a lot of the medical details right, making it enjoyable for a wide range of viewers. Get ready to talk about Scrubs Season 10 – here’s everything you need to know before it premieres.
What Happened in Scrubs Season 9?
Many fans consider Season 9 of Scrubs to be quite different from the rest of the show. Originally, the series was meant to end after eight seasons, but it was renewed for a ninth season in December 2009. This season features a new Sacred Heart hospital, as the original was destroyed. Instead of focusing on J.D. Dorian, the story mainly follows Lucy Bennett, a new intern.
Season 9 of Scrubs covers a lot of ground over its 13 episodes, following the lives of the students, doctors, and patients at Sacred Heart Hospital. Major storylines include J.D. becoming a father, a new relationship blossoming between Drew and Denise, Lucy working on her self-assurance, and Cole’s fight with melanoma. The season also features the surprising departure of the beloved Janitor.
Who Stars in ABC’s Scrubs Season 10?
A tenth season of Scrubs is in the works, bringing back several beloved characters! Zach Braff will return as J.D., alongside his close friend. We’ll also see the return of Sarah Chalke as Dr. Eliot Reid, John C. McGinley as Dr. Perry Cox, Judy Reyes as Carla Espinosa, and Robert Maschio as Dr. Todd Quinlan, promising plenty of familiar fun.
The new season of Scrubs seems to be returning to its original style, and it’s also adding some fresh faces to the cast. Vanessa Bayer, known from Saturday Night Live, will play Sibby, who focuses on wellness at Sacred Heart Hospital. The new group of interns includes Serena (played by Ava Bunn), Asher (Jacob Dudman), Blake (David Gridley), Amara (Layla Mohammadi), and Dashana (Amanda Morrow).
When Does Scrubs Season 10 Premiere?
I’m so excited! Just as winter starts to give way to spring, we’re getting more Scrubs! Season 10 is finally coming to ABC on February 25, 2026, at 8 P.M. EST, and I’m already marking my calendar. If you don’t have cable, don’t worry – Hulu will have each episode available to stream the very next day. I heard this season will be a bit shorter than the earlier ones – only nine episodes – but I’m perfectly fine with that, as long as we get more of J.D., Turk, and Elliot!
As a huge Scrubs fan, I’m so excited for Season 10 – it’s a revival we definitely don’t want to miss, and Zach Braff even directed the first episode! They filmed the whole season – which isn’t super long – in about three months at the end of 2025. It’s coming out around the same time as a few other shows I’m looking forward to, like something new on AMC+ and the rest of Bridgerton Season 4 on Netflix, both in late February.
