The third season of The Lincoln Lawyer ended with a major cliffhanger, leaving fans excited for the show’s return. Season 4, based on Michael Connelly’s novel The Law of Innocence, will see Mickey Haller facing legal trouble himself as he becomes the defendant in a case.
Season 4 of The Lincoln Lawyer will bring back familiar actors and introduce new ones, as Mickey Haller takes on a case that hits close to home. Following the huge success of Season 3 – which was a consistent top performer on Netflix and received a perfect score from Rotten Tomatoes – the new season has a lot to live up to.
What Happened in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3?
Defense lawyer Mickey Haller finds himself in a complicated situation when he’s asked to represent Julian La Cosse, who is accused of murdering Haller’s previous client, Gloria Dayton. La Cosse ran a website designed to help sex workers vet their clients, and that’s how he met Dayton. Interestingly, before her death, Dayton advised La Cosse to contact Mickey Haller if he ever needed legal representation.
Julian La Cosse was falsely accused of murdering Gloria, and it’s revealed this was part of a bigger plot orchestrated by DEA agent James DeMarco. DeMarco killed Gloria to prevent her from exposing his scheme to frame cartel leader Hector Moya for another murder. This situation also affects Eddie Rojas, who went from being Mickey’s client to his driver (and once cared for Mickey’s daughter). Eddie died in a car accident after someone forced him off the road while he was driving Mickey, and both Gloria and Eddie’s deaths deeply impact Mickey.
At the close of Season 3, DeMarco is killed by Moya, who seeks revenge. But DeMarco wasn’t the only one who died. After Julian La Cosse wins a large settlement, Sam Scales, another of Mickey’s regular clients, is found dead – and Mickey discovers the body in his own car trunk.
Who Stars in Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer?
The popular legal drama is bringing back its main actors for another season, with Manuel Garcia-Rulfo returning as Mickey Haller. He’ll be joined by the rest of his team: Becki Newton as Lorna, his colleague and ex-wife; Angus Sampson as Cisco, Lorna’s husband and investigator; Jazz Raycole as Izzy, who now manages the office; and Elliott Gould as Mickey’s longtime mentor, David Siegel.
The actress will be a series regular as Maggie McPherson, a role she previously had as a guest star in Season 3. Maggie is a committed prosecutor and Mickey’s former wife. Despite attempts to get back together in the past, Mickey and Maggie haven’t been able to make their relationship work. Krista Warner will return as Hayley Haller, their daughter.
The show will feature several new cast members this season, including someone from How I Met Your Mother. Details about their role are still under wraps. Joining them are Sasha Alexander, known for Shameless and NCIS, and Constance Zimmer from UnREAL and Entourage. Alexander will play tough FBI Agent Dawn Ruth, and Zimmer will portray prosecutor Dana Berg, who’s nicknamed “Death Row Dana.”
Joining the cast are Kyle Richards, known from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Halloween Kills, as Celeste Baker, who is going through a divorce. Scott Lawrence (NCIS: Hawaiʻi, Unbelievable) will play Judge Stone, and Jason Butler Harner (Ozark, The Big Bend) is Detective Drucker. Emmanuelle Chriqui (Super Troopers 2, Superman & Lois) will portray Jeanine Ferrigno, while Mark Pellegrino (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) is Jack Gilroy. Javon Johnson (Mayor of Kingstown, NCIS) will play Carter Gates, and acclaimed chef Nancy Silverton will appear as herself.
When Does The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 Premiere?
The new series will premiere exclusively on Netflix on February 5, 2026. All ten episodes of the season will be released at the same time, allowing viewers to watch the entire season back-to-back.
It’s currently unknown if the show will get a fifth season, but there are two more books in the series – Resurrection Walk (2023) and The Proving Ground (2025) – which could be used for future seasons. Hopefully, Season 4 performs well enough to make that happen.
