Limbus Company is a single-player, turn-based RPG created by Project Moon. Originally released on February 27th, 2023, the game is preparing to launch its new Chapter 9 and Season 7. Here’s a look at what’s coming in Limbus Company Season 7, titled ‘Kumo no Ito · otI on akA’, which will be released on December 31st, 2025.

The team behind Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina presents a new story set in their distinct and unsettling world. Explore a sprawling, dystopian city and join 12 unique characters, known as Sinners, on a quest to find the legendary Golden Boughs. Prepare for a captivating narrative and the unpredictable events that lie ahead.

Limbus Company Chapter 9 details

For those eager to learn which character’s story we’ll be playing next, the wait is over – it’s Ryoshu’s turn! Her story will be inspired by the book Hell Screen, and she’ll be known as Yoshihide both in the game and in the book itself.

Based on the preview and her vengeful attitude, we can expect both stunning visuals and plenty of action from this character.

In case you are wondering the release schedule of the story, here it is:

  • Chapter 9 Part 1 will release on 31st December 2025
  • Chapter 9 Part 2 will release on 8th January 2026
  • Chapter 9 Part 3 will release on 15th January 2025

Limbus Company Season 7 details

A fresh battlepass is here with the start of the new season! This time around, you can unlock new Ego skins for ZAYIN (Outis), TETH (Heathcliff), and brand new WAW Egos for Ryoshu and Yi Sang. Ryoshu is also this season’s reward announcer!

We’re also offering our standard items like Shard Crates, Level-up and Level Boost Tickets, Threads, Extract Tickets, Lunacy, the ID Uptie 4 Module, and a variety of Enkephalin modules.

Just a heads-up about the battle pass – you won’t be able to grab everything right away. The best rewards are locked until we hit Level 41, which will happen when Chapter 9, Part 3 drops on January 15th, 2026. So don’t rush it! Enjoy the story and dungeons in the meantime, and we’ll unlock everything together when the time comes.

The New IDs in the new season

The new sinner IDs this season are for Outis and Faust.

Faust is receiving the Index Proselyte ID, which is a ‘Sinking’ type. This will be great news for players building teams focused on the ‘Sinking’ strategy, especially after the previous season’s emphasis on ‘Rupture’ IDs. Faust’s ability appears to increase her team’s attack power while reducing enemy defense.

Outis is receiving the ID for the leader of the LCA Udjat Vanguard Team 3. This character also has a ‘Sinking’ ID, which means they might be related to a game mechanic focused on sinking. We’re hoping this season won’t heavily feature sinking, but we won’t know for sure until the game is updated. Her special ability gives her a small shield at the start of each turn, boosts the stats of her allies, and lowers the stats of her enemies.

Changes in Limbus Company with this update

With the release of Season 6, characters and specializations (Egos) from the new season will be unavailable until it officially begins. However, you’ll still be able to use characters and Egos from Season 5. This is a great time to create a powerful team focused on dealing Bleed damage using the available characters. Also, the maximum level for your characters is increasing from 55 to 60.

We’re still putting the finishing touches on the new Mirror Dungeon #7, so we don’t have a release date yet. But don’t worry, it should be available very soon – likely right after the third part of the story update. And remember to collect your rewards from the current dungeon before they disappear!

Use any Ego Shards, Threads, or Ego Crates you have before the next Limbus Company season starts, or you’ll lose half of them. If you don’t have enough to spend, focus on upgrading the IDs you already have.
