The new movie, directed by Vanessa Caswill, tells the story of Kenna (played by Maika Monroe), who is trying to rebuild her relationship with her daughter after being released from prison. It’s based on a popular novel by Colleen Hoover.
Even though her child’s father’s family has been raising her, Kenna is working to build a relationship with her daughter and is also dealing with regrets from her past.

It also shows the start of a romance with Ledger Ward, who used to be close friends with the father of Kenna’s daughter. Tragically, that father died in a car accident caused by a drunk driver – an accident Kenna was driving during.
