Every star who makes a surprise return for the final episodes of Netflix’s You

You season 5 spoilers follow.

Over the last five seasons, Joe Goldberg has been relentlessly committing murders, yet continuously justifying his actions by thinking of himself as a virtuous individual. However, this is far from the truth, and since Netflix’s You series is concluding, it’s high time for him to acknowledge and confront his true nature.

In case you can’t tell, we’re about to enter big You spoiler territory…

What to Read Next

In addition to long-term viewers, many characters from Joe’s past are making an appearance in season five as well, bidding their farewells. These include individuals who have survived encounters with Joe, as well as spectral entities that manifest in dreams and hallucinations.

Ellie Alves isn’t among the returning cast members, which is unfortunate since fans of Jenna Ortega have been eagerly waiting for her comeback. However, don’t fret as there are plenty of familiar characters poised to reappear and finally get their long-awaited taste of revenge.

Here’s every star who’s making a surprise return to You for its fifth and final season.

Frankie Demaio – Henry Goldberg

To start off, I’m thrilled to talk about a captivating newcomer in our beloved series, “You”. Despite Frankie Demaio not having any previous roles within the show, his character has quite a history here!

From the initial on-set images hinting as much, Demaio has been cast as the son, Henry, of Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn. Last we saw him was at the conclusion of season three, where Joe handed over their child to Dante while fleeing after Marienne.

In the opening of season five, there’s a leap forward in time, making Henry appear older than usual. However, his age not only surprises but also significantly affects the overall plotline, particularly influencing Joe in the final episode.

Amy-Leigh Hickman – Nadia Farran

At the close of season four, Nadia found herself behind bars for offenses she hadn’t committed. Yet, actress Amy-Leigh Hickman expressed her desire to reprise her role one final time.

“I would love to come back and play her again,” she previously told Digital Spy.

The actor added, ‘If she managed to accomplish everything shown in season 4, there’s hardly anything she can’t handle.’ So, I believe there are no limits to what she can do. Similarly, I wouldn’t rule out Joe either. It’s interesting that they share this quality, strangely.

It was fortunate that Hickman’s dream materialized since the last season brought back Nadia and presented a surprising partnership.

Tati Gabrielle – Marienne Bellamy

In the finale of season four, Marienne managed to break free from Joe’s relentless fixation, reconnecting with her daughter Juliette in beautiful Paris. However, the actress has expressed before that she harbors a strong desire to return and resolve any remaining issues.

The actor expressed his sentiment, stating, “It seems to me that she hasn’t found true tranquility yet, and I truly believe she deserves it.” He added, “Her life has been tough, friend. She simply needs some respite. I hope for Marienne’s sake that she gets more than just being a bystander in the takedown of Joe, but if not, I at least wish for her to witness it.

Additionally, it turned out that Tati’s desire was granted when Marienne arrived to join forces for retaliation. The reappearance of Marienne is particularly touching, given a specific moment where she has an opportunity to express her feelings and compel Joe to acknowledge the harmful actions he inflicted upon her.

Elizabeth Lail – Guinevere Beck

In the gaming world, back in Season One, there was this captivating character named Guinevere Beck who left a lasting impression on me, a gamer character like myself. Though she didn’t make it beyond that season, her influence on my journey and the game itself has been profoundly felt ever since.

Naturally, it seems fitting for you to reunite with Guinevere, but what surprised us all was just how crucial this relationship turned out to be in shaping the events that followed.

Saffron Burrows – Dottie Quinn

Following the murder of Love Quinn in season three, her mother remains silent for a considerable time span. However, she reappears halfway through season five, as individuals who have been wronged by Joe Goldberg start to surface online.

“Love and Forty are dead,” says Dottie. Correct.

“He killed both of my babies…” Also correct.

It has been a long time since she last saw her grandson Henry. And it seems that she won’t have the chance to see him again in season five, as Saffron appears only once during this series run.

Shalita Grant – Sherry Conrad

In the third season, Sherry became friends with Love and Joe after they relocated to Madre Linda. Since she’s a well-known “mom influencer” in the area, it’s not surprising that she reappears here, aiming to boost her online presence when internet bullies target Joe.

Travis Van Winkle – Cary Conrad

In the fifth season, Sherry’s partner, Cary Conrad, makes an appearance with her on a joint cameo. They engage in a conversation about Joe’s questionable actions online. However, the video concludes promptly due to many other appearances still left in that particular sequence.

Kathryn Gallagher – Annika Atwater

In a nostalgic return, Kathryn Gallagher momentarily takes up her character Annika once more in season one, to team up with the others and publicly accuse Joe of murder via the internet: “That lunatic murdered my dearest friend Peach,” Kathryn declares, and she’s absolutely correct.

Luca Padovan – Paco

Hey there, it’s me! Remember my old neighbor kid from back in season one, the one Joe was always helping out? The one who Joe saved from his mom’s abusive partner? That guy has grown up now and surprisingly, he’s siding with Joe this time around.

“Joe saved us,” says Paco, as if that makes up for the gazillion murders Goldberg’s done since.

Zach Cherry – Ethan Russell

Prior to being separated by Lumon Industries as portrayed in ‘Severance’ on Apple TV, Ethan had previously worked alongside Joe at a bookstore during the first season of ‘You’.

The duo weren’t overly familiar with one another. However, he correctly grasped the point when Ethan advocated for prioritizing “trusting the accusers” more than anything else.

Cayleb Long – Clyde Beck

Guinevere’s brother and sister were only mentioned in passing before, but they hadn’t been seen in person. However, that has changed now.

When Anya is absent, Clyde Beck appears for the first time on screen in a short video, expressing accusations towards Joe for the death of his younger sibling.

Tilly Keeper – Lady Phoebe

Given the current circumstances, it’s only natural that Kate ultimately reaches out to her closest confidante, Phoebe Borehall-Blaxworth, seeking guidance and assistance.

Lady Phoebe, more commonly recognized by that name, feels responsible for all that has transpired due to being the one who initially introduced Joe into their circle. However, she doesn’t linger long in this situation, which is fortuitous since those who persist often don’t make it until the end.

You season 5 is now available to stream on Netflix.
