With the holiday season approaching, horror fans are eager to find spooky Christmas movies to watch. Shudder is meeting that demand in December with special holiday episodes of popular shows like Dragula, The Creep Tapes, and The Last Drive In. They’re also adding some classic Christmas horror films at the beginning of the month, including Silent Night, Deadly Night, Santa’s Slay, and A Christmas Tale.

‘Reflection in a Dead Diamond’ (2025)

John Diman, a former spy now enjoying a peaceful retirement in a luxurious hotel on the French Riviera, finds his life disrupted when a woman he’s attracted to vanishes. This triggers vivid flashbacks to his younger days as a charismatic secret agent in the 1960s, where he battled dangerous enemies. As the past and present blur, John finds it increasingly difficult to tell what’s real and what’s a memory.
Directors Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani are celebrated for their striking visual style and their love for classic European films, especially the “Giallo” genre. They’ve already gained a dedicated fanbase with films like Amer and Let the Corpses Tan, and their latest project combines the cool aesthetics of 1960s spy movies with the thrills of crime horror. They don’t just copy older films; they reimagine them, capturing the feel of a classic era while adding their own unique touch.
‘Influencers’ (2025)

Cassandra Naud (CW) and her girlfriend, Diane, are enjoying a romantic anniversary trip to the French Riviera. However, their getaway is disrupted when they meet Charlotte, an attractive influencer who becomes interested in Diane. This sparks jealousy in CW and forces her to confront painful secrets from her past, leading to increasingly erratic behavior and violent impulses.
I’m really excited about Influencers, the new film from Kurtis David Harder! It’s a follow-up to his 2022 movie Influencer, but you definitely don’t need to have seen the first one to enjoy this. Knowing his previous work, I’m expecting a really chilling look at the darker side of social media and influencer life. What I’m most intrigued by is the setting – France! It seems like a beautiful backdrop for what’s going to be a pretty chaotic and disturbing story as the main character descends into violence and madness. If you did happen to see Influencer from last year, this is a must-watch, but if not, you can still jump right in – it’s available on Shudder!
‘Queens of the Dead’ (2025)

Tina Romero delivers a fresh, socially aware take on the zombie genre with a terrifying twist: a zombie outbreak erupts at a huge New York City drag party. Party organizer Dre (Katy O’Brian) and clubgoer Sam (Jaquel Spivey) team up to guide a diverse group of survivors through the chaos, battling the undead with whatever they can find and supporting each other to maintain hope amidst the bloodshed.
Tina Romero faces a lot of expectations with her new movie, especially considering the successful films that came before it. However, the film’s fun, over-the-top style and commitment to diverse representation are already winning over audiences. It follows a quirky group battling zombies at a dance party, and fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race will be excited to see Nina West in a key role. Currently, the movie has an 88% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 51 reviews, generating a lot of early excitement.
